Crusader arms backland

Just got my backland elite ran about 200rounds through it. Had issues with the bolt not slamming closed for the first 50rounds then fine after. Dust cover walked and hand guard. Now if i were to run Pmags would this effect warranty? Has anyone ever made warranty claims after this?
After 1 Range session 200rds. The side of the bolt pin did rub, some chips in the upper and looks like the fired brass does have craters. Is this of any concern? Would appreciate some advice before the bastard touches it. Thanks

I don't ever recall seeing any firing pin marks on primers that were so off centre as your picture and I have shot a ton of 223 through a bunch of different rifles, what is the deal with that?
New design? Way to work around strict Canadian gun laws? Since it can't be a centerfire...it's no where close to center...
That's really odd, is the bolt too small, or the chamber too big - either way there's something sloppy going on here. Then again, parallelism between the bolt face and chamber might be overrated, and lock up might not be all that important either(?)
It sure seems to be with Crusader.
Pretty much everyone who seems to get one has some sort of strange thing happening inside (jamming up, wear marks in strange places, misalignment of some kind, use of crazy heavy recoil springs to "overcome" the problem etc etc).
I think this rifle has a lot of potential but there is just too much weird going on for me to dip my toe in the water at this point.

You'd hope they would have beta tested their original flawed design enough in house to rectify these issues and make the necessary amendments before going to market to the tune of $2k.
Using their already downtrodden customer base for beta testing then releasing ‘elite’ and ‘comp’ models at full cost leaves a sour note.
Yes we need and should support Canadian manufacturers, but not those that are willing to sell repeatedly sh1t products with little to no QC. Even the Turkish offerings seem to work better than this piece of sh1t, and they get little love from anyone. I don’t see crusader as a credit to the firearms community - more the opposite.
Yeah it would have been nice if they would get their $hit together and get things right the first time instead of the third iteration
I guess it’s not much different then the wk 180s being up to a gen three at the end but at least they worked pretty decent
I do like the rifle but going through the headaches and malfunctions was a bit irritating, at least crusader fixed it in the end

This weekend both rifles surpassed the 2000 round count. No problems. Other than the initial stuff I outlined here and the crappy staking job on the gas key the rifles are doing pretty good.
Looking forward to the Makasis and Carmels I've ordered but right now the BH are going bang and those other rifles haven't hit Canada yet.

The trigger is a must have IMO.
I do see your point but I dont feel it makes this a variant. It is mostly built on a Benelli M4 type operating system with some modified AR parts.
The bottom line is though that those with the power levers have banned other easily as unrelated firearms for being variants so there is no logic in their reasoning.
The Elite rifles have ambi mag release too.
it's been a busy few weeks of pew pew with the Crusaders. They both are at or over the 3000 round count. It's hard to keep track of ammo consumption at this point so I just try to remember how many 1000 round boxes of ammo get used.
One of the rifles developed extraction problems during some fast paced shooting, so both rifles had the chambers and BCG's cleaned which seemed to solve the issue. I will proceed with a more frequent cleaning schedule of every 1000-1500 rounds instead of every 2000-2500 rounds. I like to determine how many rounds a firearm will function without cleaning and if it's less than 1000 I think the gun is pretty crap. Fortunately the Crusaders passed that test handily.
