I can’t wait for you to put them through the ringer. If they are somehow reliable now, I want one!I think the rifle in the video is a regular BH while the ones I have are Elites and I think from some comments on this thread that it has some parts upgrades.
I also had some teething issues with the first rifle, as I documented here.
There is no reason to believe that the concerns he raised in the video are unwarranted. That said, it's summer and my BH rifles are about to get a work out- in a couple of months they will both have at least 3000 rounds through them. I'll be sure to report on how they manage.
I watched all three videos and his is a regular BH. I'm not sure if you meant your Elites had upgraded parts or his had some. From what I gathered, the rifle in the video has the "gen 2" bolt and possibly an upgraded recoil spring. Outside of that, stock.I think the rifle in the video is a regular BH while the ones I have are Elites and I think from some comments on this thread that it has some parts upgrades.

If history is anything to go by, wait for the reviews. I will leave it at that.Crusader teased on their Instagram a while back they have a 308/x51 rifle in the works (ie; not the Crux, anymore) and I'm hoping whenever they show it off and release it there will be less teething issues and struggles the BLH has had for the time it's been available
With some other "cool" (& non Turkish) options just hitting the Canadian market in the last week or two people have options once again which I for one am happy to see.
I do wonder how long it will be before "someone" gets upset and demands another round of bans but if that comes the original Backland is the most likely to survive with its semi traditional looks (which I like).
Got mine back from Crusader
Hopefully it’s more reliable now
I see they changed the bolt carrier group as it’s a different color and they must have put the stiffer spring in as it’s harder to charge it now
They also changed the lower assembly for some reason, I have a different serial number then before
The trigger is way stiffer too now I noticed
I’ll try it out soon and see if it is improved or not
Once its frt comes through, I’m sure the backland will quietly go the way of the crypto and be classed as an AR variant.
No fanfare, no widescale ban, no roundup, no buyback. Just tossed on the ban pile.
The other offerings with an FRT may actually survive longer..
I ran about thirty rounds through mine out in the back yard re sighting in the green dot and it fed and cycles everything good but it has an unusual issue now
Every once in a while I will get blasted with powder residue in the face like some 9mm semis used to do to me (I shoot lefty)
The weird thing is when it does it a bunch of smoke comes out the rear charging handle slot lol
Crusader or should I say Spectre put a ton of grease in the charging handle groove in the reciever and all over the bolt sides
My plan was to run it as is for a while to let it break in some before cleaning it and re oiling/greasing it
Just need to figure out what’s happening with this intermittent blowback
