Who cares. They weigh over 10lbs.

Mr Ruger already did this over 40yrs ago but he had the common sense to scale them down, hence the "mini" part. Mini 14/30 weigh less than 7 lbs.

There is a 223 and 7.62x39 versions of the m305 listed in the frt already.

A "305b" in 223. Marstar is importing them.

A "305a" in 7.62x39. Canam is bringing those.

I wonder how they'll function with the smaller cartridge? If they function as well as an M-305 I'd be fine with the weight. If you're fit and healthy 10 lbs. shouldn't be a big deal...good thing I'm right handed, if I was a lefty shooting a 10 lbs. rifle offhand would be a bit painful.

The chassis looks like a sage clone. I wonder if these will be sold in a traditional plastic fantastic stock in order to cut down on cost

If they come in at $1k they don't look so good when compared to the Mini 14/30, excellent reliability as opposed to completely unknown.

1k seems to be the price tag now... I wish they'd offer it for the same price of a M305.

Its a maybe IF it gets good reviews and doesnt have all the QC issues the M305 has
