Who cares. They weigh over 10lbs.

Mr Ruger already did this over 40yrs ago but he had the common sense to scale them down, hence the "mini" part. Mini 14/30 weigh less than 7 lbs.

I wonder how they'll function with the smaller cartridge? If they function as well as an M-305 I'd be fine with the weight. If you're fit and healthy 10 lbs. shouldn't be a big deal...good thing I'm right handed, if I was a lefty shooting a 10 lbs. rifle offhand would be a bit painful.

Mini 14/30 have an excellent track record for reliability. Why not go for one of those?
 
Will wait for reviews and princing.

The 7.62x39 version could be interesting if prices are similar to an M305 and its reliable.
 
1k seems to be the price tag now... I wish they'd offer it for the same price of a M305.

Its a maybe IF it gets good reviews and doesnt have all the QC issues the M305 has
