Custom coyote calls

this is a small business..... kerry had a death in the family... your call will come through.... I am missing one call on my lanyard and will be shopping at kerry's site as soon as it is up.... also, the exchange through customs is always a variable....

You won't be dissapointed... look at my thread entitled "lanyards" in this section to see what mine look like... and I have one more on the way and am looking to order a fourth......

If you want instant shipping and generic plastic crap then order from cabelas or wss.... otherwise respect that this is a small business owner and you are getting a great deal when you order.....

If I remember correctly he told me he has a job and making calls is a sideline/hobby.

Yeah... that's what I mean by "small business".... you can actually pick and buy custom calls from his site and go back and look and the one you bought is listed as "sold"....lol.... great prices and great return on investment.... but they aren't free....lol

So, that is what I am saying, he is great on shipping... I had no issue.... if you haven't received your call yet then b epatient... you will, and trust me, you will be glad you waited....

I was going to make a paracord lanyard since I have a bunch laying around, but decided I just do not like things dangling off my neck so I would throw them in my pocket. Then I was worried to damage the tone board on my howler. After taking some meds yesterday I realized the soft plastic bottle the pills came in looked about the right size, and sure enough it fits like a glove softly snapping on where the lanyard groove is.

Anyone else using some kind of protective cover for their open reed calls or am I being over protective ?

That's a good idea. Operational question....reed up or down when using a open reed call? This is new to me but I think reed up is probably how they are designed to work.

reed up. Some people use their teeth on the reed, I tend to use my lip more. I love Kerry's howlers, I find i don't need to put much air pressure into it to make awesome howls. Made 9 stands so far with these calls and called in 4 and shot 2.

Ok... Box elder burl howler i shere and on the lanyard.... only one more spot left to fill.... :)...

From left to right are Resin and african blackwood distress, Box elder burl howler, cocobolo coaxer..... now to get a 4th and round out the lanyard.... hmmmm....

It was 35 bucks... the most expensive of them all....lol.....

I am actually debating if I want to keep them on the lanyard or if I want to go with a tackle box tray type setup so I can get more variety and carry them in my pack instead of around my neck.....

LOL.... OK OK... I am actually starting to lean away from this lanyard setup.... kind of thinking a "tackle box" tray type setup would be better... in which case I am thinking I can buy more....

temp gets -20 here so need an assortment of open reeds.... I did a few howls on the howler today.... I like it....

so... long and short.... open reed distress in that "raging rabbit" or whatever Kerry calls it as well as a swift are on the list.....

"rabid" rabbit.

You say "raging rabbit" and I picture a bunny in drag....LOL

I finally found my howler, I was scared that it was lost but I found it in the plastic bin where I keep my deer hunting clothes.
