Custom CZ 858 Handguards/Stocks?

About to pick up a CZ 858 :rockOn:

Used, a little beat up, with a side folding metal stock but a really fair price :D

I'm thinking about doing a custom set of grips/stock/hanguards in a light wood.

I'll keep the originals of course.

If anyone can post some pics of original/custom made examples I think it would be pretty cool to see.

I could gather some intell at the same time. :cool:

Has anyone pulled this off?
 
If you make some hand guards I'd love to see them . I want some but am not paying the roughly $300 for the whole furniture set as I just want the two pieces .
Keep us all posted as I would think many people would be interested in how that works for you .
 
Btw , a few months ago I was looking for wood furniture and went through every one of our sponsoring dealers and found some . Damned if I know which dealer it was now !
Someone here will know I'm sure .

I know the look I'm going to go for.

Plus my brother is a master woodworker and now construction framer. I'll have a mountain of knowledge and talent at my fingertips lol

It should be fun.

I remember seeing a few custom sets decked out to look like an AK-47 style furniture. I could not find the old thread using the search :(

Rummor mill says you are the one who makes the ones for Wolverine...
Or so they say.
But there are others too. Including a company in the States the sells them un-finished and you can stain to any color you want. Plus they ship internationaly.

Aye, I remember that thread.

All the power to them, but it was mostly rails, red dots, giant scopes and spray paint lol

Not really my style.

There was a thread a long ways back where the guy had shown progress pics of how he made a set of AK style furniture for his CZ.

I cannot find it :(
 
Yet another plug of my hand made sets. All of them made by hand, stained and fitted. All hardware is real AK stuff (sling mounts, buttplates, screw....)

Even the rear stock is moded from a Romanian AK stock to fit the CSA/CZ/VZ/FSN etc.....
