Congratulations Mr Snake,
the finished unit looks great.
This stock may just be enough to get me back into M-14 rifles again ... even though I swore a holy oath never to build another one.
But I'd make mine up with an 18 1/2" barrel.

Reality check ....
You say it balances well, but all the other similar aftermarket stocks I've handled felt VERY muzzle heavy and slow for CQB useage to me. Have you tried doing a few El Presidentes, with a timer, with both the original stock and this one? How would that work out for you?
Too bad Bull Pup stocks are illegal here in Canuckistan, as that setup looks like the best bet so far for the foundation of an M-14 Bull Pup. Even better than the old Macmillan/AWC. Just run some kind of remote trigger mechanism with that front VPG, a shroud over the existing trigger mechanism, a butt pad at the end instead of the AR slider, some high mounted BUIS or a scope way up front, and you'd be most of the way there.
NOT THAT I AM ADVOCATING ANYONE EVER DOING ANTHING ILLEGAL OR IMMORAL.
but the potential is there
