The early DA don't have that notch/half ####, they have a different hammer and the firing pin rests on the primer. It really can be an issue when you load the gun since it can go off easily (was told that it happened).

It can happen, and a sharp bump on the hammer can also be exciting when the firing pin is resting againsta live cartridge. A common habit with these and other similar designs (early SAA) was to only load 5 catrtidges and keep the hammer down on an empty cylinder.

Guys, remember that these clown are members of a Government Workers' Union.

It is VERY nearly impossible to fire them, even for cause.

If you could watch them vote, you would find that they are nearly ALL Libs and Dippers, handed their fat jobs by Libs.

THEY vote Left, their UNION votes LEFTER.

The current GOVERNMENT is RIGHT..... and these guys hate it. And they hate YOU, your thoughts and your attitudes as aspects of that Right Government.

They hate your hobby and will do what they can to destroy it.

In each case, go through your Federal Member of Parliament. Create enough of those bright-red envelopes landing in the supervisor's office and they will smarten up. If they DON'T, then there will be CHANGES at CBSA....... and they really will NOT like the changes when they come.

If I were Harper, I would FIX the size of the department at its present ludicrous figure. Then for every 50 red envelopes, there would be a REDUCTION of 1% of their current staff, spread evenly through the department, until the red envelopes stopped coming and the Canadian Public, which the department is supposed to SERVE, is happy with the results.

You might mention this to your MP.

You WILL get the problem fixed.
