Finally had to scratch the itch on these ones. Nice rifles. The finish is a bit rough, but for $599 definitely a deal. Great trigger on them.

This ones a 450 BM and it is FUN. Between the brake and the heft of the rifle its no worse than a 20 ga with birdshot. If even. Hefty sucker with the 25" heavy barrel but by no means unfortunately so. Forend is a little loose, but other than that, no real downsides I can see.

What a blast to shoot, but of course the cheapo Bushnell Banner II puked its little Chinese guts immediately....or it was already pooched, not sure. Has a Fullfield II on it for the next outing.

They're decent!

Sweet rig! I have the .243 version and love it. The barrels are made in the same factory as Bergara barrels and mine is quite accurate with factory ammo.

I just wanted to mention you can tighten the forend, if it came a bit loose. There is a small screw under the barrel and you'll see it once you take the forend off. I had to tighten mine when I got it and fixed it right up. Zero wobble now. Enjoy your new rifle. It's a good one!

Oh great, thanks for letting me know, I'll do that.

The 243 must be very pleasant to shoot, happy to hear its a tack driver.

Why not hacksaw nibble back the barrel till you get the balance right? Muzzle brake isn’t needed

Honestly like it as it is. If someone thought it was too front heavy overall or too long, bet cutting it off right before the flutes start would really help with that, but I don't mind the thing at all

Thanks for the suggestion.. maybe one will follow me home too! Wife keeps telling me I don’t need another rifle since I have some in the safe I don’t have zerod yet. Hahaha what does she know!

Hey now, "need" is a scary can of worms to open up haha.

No worries Joel.

Yeah, it handles and shoots very well in my experience. Mine has a 20" threaded barrel with no brake, so it's super compact overall too.

Any of the takedown Scout's make for a reliable hunting rifle that is super easy to store/transport and a joy to shoot / carry all day. I honestly may have to get a .45-70 version as well lol

Nice lookin rifle! And I see the screw you mean now I think. The one with the lil alan set screw keeping it in place?

Yeah, wasn't prepared for that whole "I gotta get more of these" feeling. Theres a lot of chamberings lol

Yeah that's the one! Mine did back off after a day at the range and a following 11km day in the woods, but I re-tightened and it has been good since.

I know eh? I was close on getting the .300blk first but snagged a .243 new and wanted the benefits of the extended range over .300blk. And I still want one lol.

Cool! Will get it set up and loctite it down.

300 BLK was real tempting too...243 must be very versatile. Hope they smarten up and make a 7.62x39 stainless lol

Diggin the 450 BM for being a fairly mild shooter (considering) and thrifty enough using about 35 grains of pistol powder and a SRP. But so many other nice ones.

I snagged one in 350 Legend last year as I wanted to try the cartridge but didn’t want to drop a grand on a bolt action. Turns out the combination of rifle and round is a perfect match. Lightweight, handy and packs a pretty decent wallop, not 450BM mind you but plenty for white tail and brown bear. Bonus points for being able to make cheap plinking ammo with 9mm pistol bullets. Started experimenting with Hornady Sub-x 250 grain bullets loaded subsonic, the accuracy has been impressive and the recoil feels like a 410. Highly recommend these little rifles.
