CVA Scout followed me home

The Henry has iron sights, but having to push out a little pin and then having that floating around kinda turned me off a little.

Iron sights would be nice, but I figured I'd mount a scope anyway. And that does slightly increase the take down length.

I see there is a Chiappa Big Badger available now in 30-30, which would be very handy to just unfold.
Yeah I saw the Henry but was hoping for stainless. 'll check the Chiappa out. I load 190gr barnes for the 30-30 for bear so that may be an option. I wouldnt have to buy dies etc too.
Thx much

I'm REALLY close on pulling the trigger on a 44mag. The only thing that's tripping me up is the lack of iron sights. I'd like to put it in a backpack/dufflebag and have for around camp for bears etc. I don't want a scope. May have to see if it's a future offering. Such a cool rifle

You need to find a chiappa 44 mag lever take down then. 12" barrel, take down in short order and has a peep sight. Bonus lever action.

I get it, not quite the $600 rifle, but I ended up going this route instead of the cva td 44.

Why not get sights installed? Im sure youll find a reciever sight that fit the D&T rail pattern and then just need to get front sight soldered or d&t.

I was thinking about that but you might not he covered under warranty by cva afterwards. Plus I'm kinda a plug and play type of guy. I might have to bite the bullet and get a lever takedown or a mares leg. The extra cartridge capacity wouldn't be a bad thing anyway. Cheers
