Can anyone with the 45-70 chime in, is the muzzle brake on the stainless model worth the price over the blued version without a brake?

I’ve owned and shot both versions, and yes the break does its job very well I never considered the govt to be to harsh anyways.

Has anyone figured out what thread pitch the muzzle is threaded with? The only thing that pops up online is 18x1, CVA’s website has very little info for specs. Interweb’s seem to say barrel is 1:20 twist.

The muzzlebrake is 0.875" O.D. and 2.375" overall length. the thread size is 18mmx1.0

I had a very beautiful 7mm. As I grew up (or at least got older) with Cooey single shots and other similar guns. I just have a hard time appreciating break action as high quality guns. I know this is not fact just emotional reaction. I’m sure they are as strong or maybe stronger than my falling and rolling actions. Personal preference is a strange one
