I had a 455 fs and a 455 american neither shot as good as my 452 lux or american.
CZ 452's are a dime a dozen, buying a discontinued one vs a 455 which has the advantage of removing barrel makes no sense to me. 455 like others have mentioned is built better and can add custom barrels, that would be my choice.
Buying a gun with interchangeable barrels requires that you re-zero your scope. That makes no sense to me personally. Also, .22lr/.22WMR...I MIGHT put the same AO scope on. 17HMR~the scope I'd use for that would likely never be the scope I'd use on a 22lr. It's a cool feature, and I'm confident CZ probably got it right...but I'll take a 452 over a 455 anytime. Heck, I've done it twice now.![]()

The 455 was geared more to places in the world where there is a limit to rifles you are to posses. Instead of driving to the range every time I want to shoot is waste of time for me. I'd rather just grab a gun and go shoot.
I've never heard anyone express such an opinion. If that were indeed the case I would presume we would be seeing many more 452's in the EE that we do. Most people I know seek out the 452's over the 455's. Checkout RFC for example...many people searching high and low for 452/3's while passing over in stock 455's. Having owned both I can say that I won't be trading in my 452's for 455's. That said, my 455 is no slouch.
Thanks,
Cal.
In those places where there's a limit to the number of rifles one can have, fewer rifles are sold than in places where there are no such limits. In places like Canada and the U.S., CZ 455 sales per capita are greater than in most every other country. Gun owners in North America have a lot of guns. As many people are aware, it's often impossible to have just one CZ rimfire rifle because once bitten by the CZ bug there's no going back. The 455 was geared more to places in the world where there is a limit to rifles you are to posses.
So your telling me I should buy the 452 I've had me eye on for a while even if I don't really need it right now![]()
How many have the 452 Classic? I bought mine in 99 and there wasn't much hoopla about them back then.

I got the 452 varmint for various reasons, i do have expensive ammo that i will be testing out of it. RWS, eley team, club and tennex, and some s&b. i will get some s&w 333 too. hoping to hit MOA or sub MOA at 50, we'll see how it does! i'm the type that doesn't like to swap barrels for diff cals. i would rather just get a new gun![]()
