I picked up an as new CZ453 from a buddy who bought it on the exchange here a little while back. I first off have to say that this is the nicest 22 I have ever shot. Comfortable and just insanely accurate.
The first problem I have noticed though is that once in a while while cycling the bolt, it decides to just come all the way out. This happens about every 30 to 40 rounds. Not a huge problem but very annoying when it happens.
Of greater concern, today I was teaching my son how to shoot. I loaded a round, put the safety on, passed him the rifle, and then as I was watching his hands he flicked the safety off and the gun fired. His fingrer was no where near the trigger. I could see it perfectly. I then took the gun from him and tried it for myself. I loaded a round, put the safety on then off and on the second time around sure enuff it fired. Finger nowhere near the trigger.
Have any of you CZ owners out there experienced anything like this?
Where should I start to look for a solution to this?
I don't want to get rid of it since I still feel that it is an excellent rifle despite the trouble.

No idea about the bolt falling out, but with regards to firing when the safety is manipulated, it sounds like you have too little sear engagement. I believe you can solve this by adjusting the set trigger on the 453. Consult your manual on how this is done.

Cheers,
Cal.

Trigger kit installed improperly?
There is a spring tension nut that could of been backed off or
removed on the sear spring assebly.
On an empty chamber, #### the unit and do the bump test.
See if it fires.
If it does, I suspect a bubba-fu was in there messing around.

Your trigger has been adjusted improperly. If you don't have the manual check out the cz forum on the rimfirecentral web site, lots of good info about cz rifles.

I'm sure you are very safe but I have to mention this because I've seen it done before and this is one of those things I had drilled into me since childhood.....NEVER PASS A LOADED FIREARM even with safety on. Reason? SAFETIES CAN FAIL.

I have a CZ as well and the way to take out the bolt is to press the trigger and remove the bolt, so I'm guessing if the trigger is out of adjustment you will fix both problems at once.

I made a trigger adjustment (increased the trigger pull) and it seems like the problem is solved. Very easy! Should have been able to figure that out myself....Thanks for the help guys :)
