CZ 457

^ ^ If you want accuracy for bench shooting, the Varmint (heavy barrel) Match (Chamber with ca CIP minimum specs) Target Rifle (VMTR). These run ca $1500-ish and is very good in that price range. There is a 'new' model coming soon - the CZ 457 Target - with an MSRP ca $3K, no definite dealers 'in stock' yet AFAIK. And the MTR Chamber is avail in a few other models if you prefer a more 'conventional stock' rifle. If you add another $500+ you can get 'custom' barrels that swap-in easily and can get your groups well under 0.3xx inches.
 
I have the older 452 Varmint and it is the other love of my life lol! Put many rounds down and when my eyes went the rifle scoped well. Lots of add ones possible of decent quality from a variety of vendors. Enjoy if you get it.
 
You can’t go wrong with is stated above. The very first time I went out to 300 meters I managed to hit steel windage target consistently. I had only shot 50 meters previously. Right gun right optic and the 457 impresses

Generally, a good choice, but experience has shown that the 455 and 452 are more nicely finished when it comes to the actions.

I chose a 455 over a 457 for my precision build, I am happy, and would choose a 455 if I were doing it again.

457 has sacrificed quality for features. 455 uses the same barrels and is fully customizable.
