x39 No.1 should be equal to the .30-30 with 170gr at 2100 fps. Hornady Handbook .30-30 data lists their 170gr bullet at 2100 fps from a 20" barrel.
I'm getting an honest 2250 from a 20" barrel using RL 15. In the reloading recipies forum Eagleye says he's getting 2300 using Leverevolution, which I'll be trying next.

I load 165gr Speer spitzer bullets in my .30-30 Hand-Rifle (22" barrel) at 2300 fps, a near maximum load.

A 180gr RN .308 bullet impacting at ~2000 fps should be enough to take out big Moose shoulder and spinal chord. Only 1 way to find out.![]()
