I'm in the market for a small caliber (AR-15 sized), small actioned bolt-gun and am trying to figure out what is on the market. What all is out there for "micro actioned" rifles? I know of CZ/BRNO, Zastava, Sako, Cooper (?), but not much else. Whatever is out there it must be wood/blued. Not interested in stainless or synthetic at all. Also looking in the $1000 range.
Also, what is your opinion on the BRNO Fox 2 in .222 with the dual set triggers and closed top action? I've seen a couple for sale, but fear ammo may be hard to find or expensive (vs .223), and apparently new CZ 527 mags do not fit. Would I simply be better served by buying a new 527, or are older BRNOs better?
