This is a cool novel design, nice to see something new and fresh.
I like the ergo, stock looks like a poor man’s blaser professional
Will be interesting to see MSRP

I’d expect Trail to be 5.56 compatible.
And it looks like competitor to MRX Ranger.

We few, we proud, we incredibly vocal: the more displacement club
I’ve been craving a modern bolt, 60 degree lift etc. CRF in a new design is a cool bonus. Really would like to see a breakdown on how the ejector functions. 8x57 for weird factor and parts compatibility
Really liking the new euro rifles coming out with picatinny bases machined into the action. Some pics of the top of the lux receivers show a weird oval dovetail, but is listed as taking rem 700 bases, wonder what the deal with that is
North Sylva had them posted, $899 for the Alpha and $1,399 for the Ergo. Didn't catch the others. The Alpha is damned attractive at that price point for a short .308. Don't know why I want one all of a sudden but with the built-in rail and a compact scope it should be a great little truck gun.
Here's an excellent overview of all models. Pretty impressive. I want the Trail model in 7.62x39

Ya I think they look disappointing. Like what now distinguishes these rifles from any other cheap hunting rifle? The entire reason I liked CZ rifles was the Blued finish, old school build quality, and metal magazines. Now it's plastic magazines, and some mat black/grey finish. Like why should I now buy this over a model 70. Cheaping out to make a bit more money and they've lost me on this series, I'll wait to see if they change , or for the next line. But most likely I'll stick to the old lines.
Now I do think the Trail is cool. But I honestly don't like what they are doing to their lineup. If I had was getting into guns around the time these came out I for sure wouldn't be interested in any of them outside the trail version.
I would say the most distinguishing feature of these is the ease and promised repeatability of barrel changes, and lightweight receivers. There aren’t any rifles anywhere near this price range that have such a readily accessible barrel change mechanic. To change the barrel effectively, you need to invest about $3 in tools that can be bought at any hardware store. I think that’s pretty awesome. And if the whole rifle is only $1000, then barrels should be made available for less than $400. We shall see if CZ follows through with that. It would be very easy for prefits to be prepared, provided CZ makes barrel extensions readily available.
I can’t think of any other 60 degree throw CRF actions with barrel swap and top load detachable magazines…
Nitride treatment is apparently very effective weatherproofing.
It’s a rebrand and definitely offering some stuff to cater to the European crowd (swap barrel, ergo stock styling, sights set back for suppressors, threading etc.)
Some cool stuff that it is on trend and not available in most NA rifles like the 8x57, picatinny bases machined into the action ( new SAKO and Haenel have this), promise of a decocking safety in the future.
Swap barrel in all models without a proprietary wrench is a big deal provided it works. Under 1k is crazy. I don’t really care about this but it will be a big selling point for euros. The chamber having spaces for the lugs might make non OEM barrels in weird calibers expensive.
...More money for less quality goods, and I'm referring to that cheap looking finish, and these stupid plastic magazines. Like they spent all this money on the Barrel swap stuff, when all I wanted was a nice finish, some good looking walnut and metal magazines.
