CZ 75 or Glock 17 for home defense?

Which one do you prefer for home defense, and why? CZ 75 or Glock 17

I am curious as to which one you think is more reliable for the home defense role? I have a shotgun for upstairs home defense, but for stashing a hand gun or two around the first floor, which one would you trust or do you prefer?

Slothy

Of the two choices, and being well familiar with both pistols, personally I'd go with the G17.

I legally carried a G22 both openly & CCW in Canada for many years.

I'm not a lawyer but from what I do know, your life has to be threatened in order to use a gun in your house. I'm still under the impression that the intruder must also have a weapon, and you must dial 911 and you have to be clear to the intruder that you have a firearm. I know there's a list of things you need to make sure you do, all of which is mostly not likely going to happen since who wants to ask the robber if they have a knife or gun before you start shooting?? That being said, I have an M&P in a costco safe (the $89 quick access one) near my bed and I prefer a handgun even though accuracy at night and with a handgun are hard. I plan on getting a mount for a flashlight on it, but I'm trained in hand to hand fighting as well, and I would rather a handgun which would make me more mobile for fighting and able to fire using 1 hand. Most people will prefer a shotgun, since, you really can't miss with it.

I'd use glock, just a good feeling, but for myself I order 8.5" griz mag spotty from can am, that's gonna be the best for home defence, easy to pop a loaded mag in a shotgun and all legal to have loaded mag next to shotty

The OP resides in North Carolina. The recently passed "Castle Doctrine" in North Carolina would be the relevant law regarding the use of deadly force during a home invasion. Here is the text of that law:
http://www.ncga.state.nc.us/Sessions/2011/Bills/House/PDF/H650v5.pdf

If someone has unlawfully and by force entered your home there is a presumption that they have done so with the intent of committing an unlawful act involving force or violence.
