CZ-75 Pre-B fans out there?

Beauty! These pre B's are pretty sweet, but don't be in any rush at figuring out the internals lol Lots of small parts, lots of things under spring tension, almost lost a piece a couple times. Still looking for a trigger return spring to fix mine, but once I track one down I look forward to finally trying this pistol out. Shame that it broke so soon after getting it. The trigger is REALLY smooth in both DA/SA with these I find, at least my early-80s pre B is. Fits your hand like a glove, eh? Just feels natural.

Pre-B is a beauty, handles and shoots great!! :D
I got Shadow too, which is my main gun for now...

But, then, again, I had enough women in my life to not be extremely picky about looks :D :D

I bought my pre-b new in '89 for $300 and still have it. Not as nice to shoot as a shadow but I've had the thing so long I'll never give it up. It still looks OK and shoots OK. Same as any other pre!

You can easily make it a much better shooter and way more pleasant to shoot gun - by replacing grip panels, sights, and applying grip tape.
Trigger/sear/hammer group should be already more than very nice.
 
@ tekarra, thats a nice pre-B!! I have two in the shop right now with Rodger Kotanko getting work done. I'll post some pics when I get them back!!

Quick question for everyone tho..... Where can I get a kydex holster for the Pre-B's??? Most of what I can find are for the 75b models and they don't fit properly... or is there anyone in Ontario who can make them???

87 Pre B

Gotta do a little bragging guys. I after years decided to buy my first handgun. After shooting dozens, I decided on a cz 75B. Was just in Cabelas Edmonton selling them a 300 win mag, when I mentioned I was going to buy a new 75 b. He says I just took a cz on trade, wanna look at it. Yah I do!!!!!
Turns out its a mint 87 pre b with 2 very light scratches. I says how much?? He says 350.00w:h: Ummm I took it and ran out of the store yelling "Start the car, Start the Car" !!!!! I LOVE the gun

LOL awesome man!!! mine ended costing me $420 bucks even... thought that was a good deal!!!!

I doubt you'll find Kydex for a pre-B off any shelf, try and see if any holster makers make for the Tanfo clones - they're close. Another option would be to get in touch with an outfit like Raven, they'll make you one.
 
More like $600 in 2009.

My Uncle Mikes Holster seems to work fine with my pre-b. Large sights to boot. What issues are you finding?
 
enefgee: I'm keeping Raven as a last resort as their delivery time has spiked due to demand.

Gnmontey: I tried my preb in a friends uncle mikes holster and it didn't feel secure enough, didn't seem to lock in around the trigger guard fir a secure fit. Might have to order a new one and try that out. Which model did you have??

Course if I could find someone in the GTA working with kydex then Id give that a try also...
 
Uncle Mikes Law Enforcement Open Top KYDEX Size 19. And yes, it does not hold the CZ as securly as a 1911.

First try at posting a pic on CGN, I honestly don't know why the frame looks like that in front. There is some blueing wear there but it doesn't look anything like that in person. Damn flash lol Also, anyone wanna trade some original grips for Hogue? They feel great but I'm something of a traditionalist, would rather some nice CZ grips on her.

Yeah... I like my preB too. IIRC, mine's a '87 and I picked it up for about $350 about 4 yrs ago. I like it for winter carry in the bush. Not as heavy as my 586.

Haha yeah, I'll clear off a table next time I take some gun pics. This Pre-B is an '82, came with 3 mags, hogue grips, and grip tape on the back of the frame. I've since taken that tape off, paid $475 or so for it almost a year ago. Fairly early production, serial is 5X,###. Doesn't have the short rails unfortunately, but I love it all the same. Great pistol, just a MASSIVE P.I.T.A to do a detail strip with.

Also thought to add; its a 1991...thats my birthyear. The guns as old as me.
