I just bought a CZ Shadowline gun from Canada Ammo. Gun was in my hands within 7 days thanks to Canada Ammo and CFO BC. The gun comes set up as follows:

Aluminium Checkered Grips
T-20 Torx head grip screws
Advanced Ergonomics, Beavertail Etc
No firing pin blocks
SP-01 shadow sights
Fiber Optic Front Siht 1.5mm Diode
Modern competion hammer shape
Double action trigger weight 10.4 lbs
Single action trigger weight 3.10 lbs
Slide stop (pre relieved)
Old Style 85 Combat Trigger (Less Curved then Shadow)
The guide rod is unfinished carbon steal (SHORT)
Standard shadow recoil spring (weight unknown)
D style thin Rami style safety’s
Extended magazine release
Smaller 75 diameter barrel .500
Complete upper weight is 15.4 oz (our 75 shadow 1.6 lbs)
Slide weight 11.5 oz (our 75 shadow 12.6oz)
Slide profiled at front like CZ 75
Weight of the whole gun 2.5 lbs
If you only change the mainspring to a 13 lbs the trigger weights become 3.4 SA 7.5 DA

I would prefer the wider standard safeties on the gun but other than that it is a performer. I am going to install a 13# mainspring on the gun to reduce the weight of the very smooth and crisp trigger. Other than that after 200 flawless rounds the gun shoots like a laser and hits POA using my 125 gr 356402 cast boolits over 4.1 gr of 231 which is my IDPA load. What could be better.

I prefer the looks of the CZ's without the FLDC and have no use for a light mount on a gun so this pistol is exactly what I always wanted CZ to produce. I think it balances better than my old Shadow and is lighter. The Aluminum thin grips really improves the grip for me and the gun is noticeably thinner than my 85 Combat with it's rubber stock grips. I may have to spring for a set of the grips for my Combat.

pd I will post pics of the gun and targets over the next couple of days

+1. I prefer CZ's without the FLDC as well. I use my 75B Shadowline for IPSC. You may want to try replacing the disconnector with a pre B disconnector. It shortens the trigger reset nicely.;)

CZ-75B Shadow Line 9mm Pistol with aluminum grips - $1099
CZ-75B Shadow Line 9mm Pistol with Rubber Grips - $849

Outch! Those are some expensive grips!

Is that an easy instal or does it require a gunsmithl?

I want to put the mag disconect on the right side as it is transferable and I prefer to use my trigger finger to activate the mag disconnect. Unfortunately CZ must put the screw that holds the spring down with a ten ton screw driver as mine won't budge. I intend to take it to my gunsmith and let him have a go at it.

It's fairly easy provided you have the right tools. I ordered some punches and a block from CZCustom when I ordered the disconnect and some other parts.

The trigger bar/mag release spring screw is staked in place and usually has thread locker applied. It'll come out, just use the proper sized screwdriver to do it so you don't damage the screw head.

Oh, I probably have a set of regular safeties if you want to trade; send me a Pm if you like.

Staked eh/ I might have known. I think I will let a 'smith do it. I have a left side safety to install but thanks for the offer. I tried doing my own safeties once and it cost me $100 to have Gunnar rescue mealong with $50 in postage. I will let my 'smith do the change over when he does the screw. I may use the gun in IPSC as well and I like to apply the safety when moving any distance. It is just a habit I got into shooting 1911's and it has stuck. We really don't use the safety in IDPA SSP Diivion as the gun starts hammer down like in IPSC Production but when shooting at our range in the back pistol pits I am often alone and carry the gun C&L when changing targets etc. Met a bear down there once so it is nice to have something available if necessary.
