CZ 858 Accessories, Thinking about manufacturing them here, Any interest?

That photo is from CGNER Kasat see link. I asked nice and he built one for me works great. All you have to do is supply him the stock spacer and he welds it up and even blued it for me. Hes a great guy PM him. You can allso get replacement stock spacers from a big US guns parts place for like 5 bucks US and they ship to Canada. PM if you want the www

This cheek piece looks like it might do the trick.

Hello all!!

Please forgive my ignorance here as I am totally new to black rifles and the VZ-58. I am interested in mounting some low powered optics, and the mount will have to work for a LH shooter.

If some could explain to me (like Im 2 years old) exactly what I would need to do this I would really appreciate it.

I like the way the Ksat mount looks, will it work for a left handed shooter??

I really appreciate you patient and understanding.

Regards and all the best

As you seem to be the "VZ Guy", WRT optics mount, I was looking for answer directly related to the mount show above by palinak.

The exact modle would be helpful as there seem to be a ton of similar models on the Kalinka optics site.

Im not trying to be a PITA, just trying to get it right the first time.

Regards and all the best

I would be interested in Right Hand Controls. VZ/CZ are for left hand operators. Sector switch and cocking handle on the left hand side.

Hey, anyone tried something held between the pistol grip and the frame?
There is a big bolt there to hold the grip. I can easily envision a machined angle iron held there with a soviet type sidemount on it, ready to accept any Russian scope...
PP.

Great idea. Use a bolt for one of the trigger or hammer pins to add a second attachment.

Early on, people were drilling and tapping onto the receiver. But the metal is thin, so the various mounts involve locking to to rear end via stock screw, along with side bolting. I think having a mount go under, and secured by the grip bolt, and the side, and the stock bolt is best. But the 58 just isn't made for a scope, really. I wish for a G36 type rail to bolt onto the rear, and bolt onto the trunnion. That would be the best, imho.

if you want to make something, make one of these for the VZ

This part is designed to attach to the rear sight support (in front), and the tang of the rifle (in back). It's made of 6061 aluminum, anodized black, and has provisions for both windage and elevation adjustment. It's also designed to accommodate regular disassembly of an AK rifle. It provides the user with a 1913 rail over the receiver cover on a standard-pattern AK, with AR sights at the back of the receiver (providing an approximately 60% greater sight radius).
