Ah ok lol That IS pretty rapid, moreso than anything I would be doing. I am reading about a number of people who are ditching their M14's for this rifle, which is I guess a pretty strong argument in it's favour. I understand why though.... I do love the M14, but for me the recoil can leave you a bit sore after a day of shooting, and surplus ammo is very rare and just too expensive nowadays.
Has anyone besides Fat Tony found that their front site assembly was rotated away in either direction from the center 12 o'clock position?
I found my m14 with smith brake to have less noticeable recoil than a stock cz858... but cost of ammo is the reason the m14 is on the chopping block.
My front post is offset to the right of center by about 1-1.5mm. The rifle is still accurate though, so it must just be the assembly tolerances...
My buddy that also had his rifle out, he works it pretty hard, but his paint is still fully intact and he's 2000+ rounds thought it...
