There is no Spartan model. Spartan model was invented in RCMP FRT lab.

My cz858 has Magpul furniture. So I have Cz858 "Magpul" model, which is not in FRT database. Issue me new FRT please.

My understanding is that every firearm is prohibited until an FRT is issued. This decision sets a dangerous precedent for all firearm owners because changing the stock of your firearm could mean your are in possession of a prohibited firearm. How many people have changed the stock on one of their firearms? I'm sure many have. More importantly, I'm sure there are some politicians who have. These politicians need to be made aware that if the RCMP is allowed to say that new grips, a new stock, or an engraving on a firearm constitutes a new model, they're in possession of a prohibited firearm.

You are WRONG! The FRT is not a statuatory requirement, it is not law, many firearms are imported with out an FRT, it is a reference data base, nothing more. Many Government bodies will tell you it is law, if it was it would be subject to appeal and decisions could not take years to be made.

We have no "Spartan" versions, they never existed, we have a shipment of CZ 858 Tactical -2P rifles that we have purchased and paid for (months ago) these were legally imported, cleared by CBSA and we intend to sell them at some point in time.

Decided against getting in on these because I don't have any 7.62x39 but think I'll have to buy one once you get this cleared up

I hear ya.....what a joke id never pay the 3 grand plus for one of those just cause its non restricted those are 1500$ rifles MAX would rather save up and get a Barrett M82A1 or Steyr HS50 M1 for the 15K mark you are actually getting your money's worth

So are the Canadian Cz 455 with the different stock and maple leaf a seperate FRT or the same as the standard CZ 455? The crap these guys pull is amazing, I will be writing a letter on your behalf to my MP and if there is anything else I can do let me know.

Is there a way to prove what the rcmp lab is saying in the report are lies or not? Are they fabricating this to be able to ban them or is what they are saying true? I wonder if going after them on incompetence or personal bias and a hidden agenda would be of any use? If a government department mislead inspectors to ban a legal product that would be pretty shaddy.

The CZ858 is still legal and non-restricted in Canada. This batch is the only batch affected and so what!!! The CZ858 is still legal. Is it a shame that ONE business, that is exploiting this opportunity to profit (with probably a huge markup) from the gun community at ridicules prices just got shut down? I say big deal. Feeding to the arrogance of some gun owners by taunting the RCMP with "Molon Labe" engraved on the rifle was not too smart. All this does is just makes the gun community look bad. And i know with this post I may/will get criticized and attacked by the retailer and some retailer suck up’s on this site but I don’t care cause nobody likes brown nosers anyway or at least I don’t.!

Some Police are arrogant! and power trip! and some hypocrites that police this site are no different - if not worse! I will get arbitrarily punished by the site police for speaking my mind even though I am a Canadian gun owner. Respect works both ways no matter who you are or what “side” you’re on.

It's not as if they're testing the waters to see how resistant we are right? This "batch" is worth at least 150 000 dollars; they were seized because of the markings engraved into the furniture and bolt carrier.

Would it be legal for the RCMP to seize your vehicles because you decided to speak your mind and put Molon Labe bumper stickers on everything?
