Please a lightweight barrel for me, it is not a support full auto machine gun! Why would you need a heavy barrel for? One more pound of steel upfront for a quarter moa gain?
It would be such a shame if they didn't come with chrome lined 18.6 inch barrels. I wouldn't even consider one without a chrome barrel.
..Why make this gun heavy and lack irons...?!
It is a SEMI AUTO and it is in .762x39...both not "bench rest" qualities....
on a totally different line of conversation do you think those barrels could be incorporated into a new bolt action rifle ? given the popularity and rareness of the cz 527 carbine ? being as they have no gas tap drilled .
could be a good seller .
Are the barrels going to be easy to change? unlike the vz/cz.
I'd also prefer a lighter barrel.
X2This Teaser thread needs more teasers *cough* photos *cough*![]()
I sure wouldn't have turned anything into a parts gun yet.
That's an odd comment for a Wolverine Supplies employee, isn't it?
My 23 y.o. son and I both own (now prohibited) CZ858 Tactical 2 P 2011 Models (purchased together directly from Wolverine).
We phoned Wolverine Supplies on 6th March - 2 days prior to your comment in the above quote to ask what we could do? Did we have to surrender them? Would new receivers become available? etc. etc.
It was suggested by the guy at Wolverine (pun intended) that we strip both rifles and cut the receivers in two as close to the chamber as possible. Keep the barrels and all other parts and replacement receivers might become available ("we're working on it").
So, I suggest all employees at Wolverine have a staff meeting and come up with a common response for all to hear or see.
'Cuz right now my son & I have two matching piles of Czech made rifle parts that we paid Wolverine $1,660 for and we don't have a clear indication as to what's going, where we stand or what's in the works to fix this...
And, there are THOUSANDS more of us waiting for the same answers. And we're upset. VERY UPSET.

For all of you possessing non-restricted firearms that may become prohibited, this is what I would do if I was you.
First the Government will have to announce how this situation will be handled and then we will have a “grace period” in which to comply, DO NOTHING UNTIL THEN.
If there is no Grandfathering or no compensation, consider the following.
Simply destroy the receiver and take photos. You do not have to report anything to the authorities as you are no longer in possession of a firearm . I suggest you cut the receiver in half then cut out the part with the serial number.
This will leave the Government guessing as to the compliance rate. SWAT teams will not be kicking down doors as there are no LGR to tell them where to go.
I would not hand in a stripped receiver.
I am already making contingency plans for supplying new stripped receivers that would be compatible with your parts kit., this is a worse case fall back plan.
