CZ Bren 2 MS in stock

What was the total cost delivered to your door?

I wish it was at my door.

On my invoice it shows $2322.90 USD Which included 9 Bren 2 marked mags ($312.75 USD). Plus $259.31 CAD for Shipping and GST.

So $2981.35 CAD (converted today @ 1.28) plus ship/tax = $3240.66 CAD

If you go by this total, the rifle would have been under $3k if I didn't get the mags. Keep in mind the Bren 2 factory stock was billed separately and not included in this total.

To clarify, the short barreled Bren 2 in the U.S. is being sold as a pistol with a brace to avoid registration as a short barreled rifle. For Canada, regardless of being pistol or rifle any semi-automatic non rim-fire is registered with a barrel length under 18.6". In this case, it makes sense to import the firearms as rifles, so the inferior brace used to mark the U.S. gun as a pistol is removed, but the buffer tube left on so the firearm has a "stock" to be marked as a rifle on import to Canada. The Canadian buyer can then add a buffer tube stock of their choosing or swap in a factory folder. Since the firearm is a restricted rifle, not a pistol, when non-restricted barrels are available, an NR barrel can optionally be installed and the firearm can be "de-registered" (though that ain't what it used to be) and made NR so it can be used outside the range on appropriate crown or private land. This would not be possible if it was imported as a pistol, one of the reasons the importers likely chose this route.

New barrel, add a stock on, meanwhile the msrp for the same rifle in a rifle configuration and 16 inch barrel wld be way less. Why not just send us some full 16 inch rifles? Or run batch of 18s?

Some of us WANT a barrel shorter than 16" or 18". I like to collect my military-derived sporting rifles in as close to their military configuration as is possible, which is why I ordered a 14" barrel which (hopefully) comes with a bayonet lug. The correct military barrel lengths within Czech service are 14" (rifle) and 11" (carbine). Anything over 14" is a civilian specification for the US or (soon) Canadian markets, fitted with a longer MLOK handguard. I for one, am not at all interested in the "Pinnochio" barrelled, Non-Restricted versions of the Bren 2 MS. YMMV....

Let us know how it feels and shoots, NR's are nice (especially for transport) but I literally only shoot at ranges so don't mind R's as much as some people.

Fair enough. Trust me I have plenty of shorties. Any word of a 308 version? That wld be the best if both worlds. I wld like the original military butt end to come with.

I think we can all agree that a .308 would be awesome. I love the B+T APC 308 (Sub-MOA with 175 gr FGMM), but it is a hefty beast. Something "Scar-esque" but even lighter weight iwould be perfect.

The standard CZ Bren 2 Buttstocks are currently selling for $500 USD on GunBroker. Those who were quick off the mark with IRG were able to order a genuine CZ Buttstock on the basis of one per firearm. Given the current dearth of genuine Buttstocks I am glad that I committed early.

Anyone who wants the Bren 2 fully auto/semi auto Battle Rifle (BR) made as a semi-automatic only Hunting Rifle variant in .308 and possibly Creedmore, please petition CZ; the more they hear about demand, the more they will likely fulfil it.
