CZ Bren 2 MS NON-Restricted MAJOR UPDATE Post 587

If someone wanted to revert back to the restricted version, what would be required other than to swap the barrels out? Obviously you would need to ensure it was back on the books with CFC, but what if any gunsmithing wld be required?

Why would you ever want to do that ?

I like the idea of Restricteds turning into NR's. Going the other way doesn't make sense to me.

You also need to find a verifier
 
I asked Dlask via email and they said you will need gunsmith to re-install the OEM barrel back. Can’t be done yourself unfortunately

I don't have mine yet, so I'm not sure if the Dlask barrels have the parts of the gas system, etc. If they do, I think it would be a few screws to do the swap. If they don't I think it would be a bigger operation.

It can be done, "if" you are skilled and have the tools etc. It's not just a barrel nut type swap. Gas block is pinned on as well as the barrel into the breech assembly etc. I wouldn't recommend it unless you are confident in your tooling and skills.
 
Was I imagining things or did Marstar float the idea of trying to source HBI hand guards for purchase separately?

If so I am onboard.

Companies are generally cagey about making promises which may be negatively impacted by circumstances outside of their control (which I understand).
 
I wonder if fitting the HBI furniture would be a problem. The gas adjustment on the marstar rifles would be carbine length but the longer HBI handguards would seem to be rifle length for the cutout. Not sure if it’s possible to change that

Correct.

HBI offers two versions, a 13.8" for the shorter gas system here: https://hbindustries.net/store/shop/cz-bren-2-handguard-13-8-m-lok/

And a 15.8" version for the longer gas system: https://hbindustries.net/store/shop/cz-bren-2-handguard-15-8-m-lok/

So no matter which version you get, they have an option that will work.

I get that, but when you drop 3500 you kind of want more than sometime in the future.
