I could probably engineer a full auto bolt-action faster then figuring out the precision timing of a full auto.

The problem is undefinable terms such as "rapid succession" and "relatively short time" I can fire my 10/22 in rapid succession with a "bio-chemical servo" that I own (my finger) .

They don't have to answer how they made somethimg full auto as that can be classified as a legitimate public safety concern amd would even if they answered it be just a couple of blanked out pages.

Correct, but you could ask indirect questions, such as "How long did it take to convert to automatic?" "How long did it take to determine that it could be converted to automatic in a relatively short period of time?" "How many technicians worked on converting it to automatic or determining that it could be converted to automatic in a relatively short period of time?" Etc.

Or at the very least, even if they blank specifics, we would know the *process*.

I'm not asking for step by step instructions. How about they just tell us how long did it take and what techniques they used. For example, did it take 2 minutes with a drill to fire full auto or did it take 13 RCMP techs 2 months and dozens of attempts to get the rifle to fire 2 rounds with a trigger pull that one time.

We all know this.

Hence the same one line response whenever they want to prohibit something.

At the very least, they should prove this to the supplier or manufacturer who already have prohib license. Like to Wolverine.

I am retired from Wolverine so I am out of the loop with this one. I will do some digging and report back if there are any changes. I seem to recollect that to make her pass the "flexible standard" (My words) that the RCMP use for classification, the extra work required for the small Canadian market did not make it a cost effective project. I got my finger burnt with the Skorpion debacle and I have better things to do with my time than work on a project like this which is normally extremely frustrating, time consuming and often rewards others. Everything hinges round the "ease of conversion" which is not legally defined so try explaining that along with all the other ridiculous laws and regulations to foreign engineers, who often don't speak English.
