CZ Bren2 Owner: Info, Pics, Mods

I've decided not to wait and see what the government does to decide what I buy or not. Picked up an 11" and will gladly show you pics when the transfer comes through. I will be reaching out to my MP and MPP about denying my ability to enjoy legally purchased property, and that transfers should be done in a timely manner

I've been waiting for my two transfers to be approved since July... hope yours is faster.

Looks good with the faux silencer, otherwise quite unbalanced with the exposed "Pinnochio Barrel". Hopefully you will get good use from it in the woods.

For those wanting a thicker grip but don't like the Dan Haga option from CTCS for $100, here's an option from CZ factory, the "M" size back strap. Sold through a Lithuanian store and they ship direct to Canada all in for $30 cdn.

A word of advice to anyone contemplating using the Preston Precision STANAG Rail Set to "restore" their MS2 to the Czech Military Configuration. There are 2 different lengths of Hex Screw provided to affix the Rails to the Rifle. The 6 Long Screws are used to affix the Rail through the Upper Reciever Walls, to the Trunnion/Barrel assembly. The 3 Short Screws are used to affix the front of the Rail to the sides and bottom of the Rail Bracket. Here is where care must be taken, as a Short Screw will work in a Long Screw Hole, but the reverse is not true. If you mess up and don't read the instructions (like me, initially), a Long Screw in the bottom front Hole of the Rail Bracket will contact the underside of the Barrel, exerting upwards pressure and really messing up accuracy. At first I thought that my Barrel was improperly heat-treated, as it would wander and groups would grow to approximately 4 MOA as the "Pencil Barrel" (quickly) heated up. Then I realized what I had done when a visual inspection revealed the front underside Screw contacting the underside of the Barrel. A quick swap of that Long Screw for a Short version and I had a perfect fit. My accuracy reverted to 2 MOA with 62gr PMC Green-Tip ammo, with the group size remaining constant despite Barrel temperature.

Two Long Screws in the Rear to affix the Rail, Upper Receiver and Trunnion together. One Short Screw up front, to affix the Rail to the Rail Bracket. Do NOT use a Long Screw by mistake!

The culprit Short Screw Hole. Do NOT use a Long Screw in this position as it will exert upwards pressure on the Barrel!

What's the store name? TY

Europe Outdoor. They also sell the BR stock for a ridiculously low price shipped to Canada (IRG was selling them for $300 USD, it's half the price in CAD at EO). No after market parts, just all factory including the side rails.

My grip took 1 month to arrive by Post. There's UPS/FedEx options but might incur brokerage fees. I also don't know if CBSA will have issues with other parts like firing pins, stocks, and other parts they can ship. YMMV.
