CZ Satin nickel finish durability

;)This is the one you want.

On the CZ forums it is said by many owners that the satin nickel CZ's have the most durable finish against scratches and doesn't wear as much when using a holster as opposed to the polycoat finish. You can't really compare it to the stainless models because there is not coating involved. The two tone Shadows are silver polycoat painted and not be confused with it being satin nickel. The two tone CZ75/85's have a satin nickel frame. Just so you know CZ is no longer using the satin nickel finish in their pistol lineup. It has been discontinued as of 2013 so, if you decide that's the one you want, get it before you can't find one.

I have a little over year-old Satin Nickel 85C, no holster use, and so far, finish is holding up compared to my less than a year old blued pistol that has seem few scratches. No flaking. Flitz for gunpowder stains and gun oil/synthetic oil for general lube. I do not have a SS finish so I cannot compare against it. Your only concern with SS, specifically the glossy finish is scratches that can only be removed by buffing. Otherwise, SS is harder to beat.
