How do you mean? There are Scorpion pistols which are available in Canada from official CZ distributors, and Scorpion rifles available from grey market importers. Both are recognized by the RCMP with appropriate FRT entries. The magazines are designed and manufactured for both, therefore they are limited to 5 rds.
They're all limited to 5 rounds unless it uses a pistol magazine. But yes, you're right it is ridiculous.
These look really good. I like the FDE, one of them with a NR barrel would be a lot of fun.
Magazines do not have an FRT, it's either a pistol magazine limited to 10 rounds or it's a rifle magazine limited to 5 rounds and to be a pistol magazine there has to be a pistol that the magazine was designed to be used in, not just a stamp on the side. Unfortunately carbines like this are classified as rifles and not pistols.
Where do I start! First off I dremeled/ sanded the factory safety lever so that it was gone and wouldn’t be in the way of my trigger finger. That made shooting the evo much better, but the safety was still tough to reach with my thumb without shifting my hand quite a bit. Then I put the switchback grip on, which made reaching the factory safety much easier to disengage, but I still couldn’t get enough power from the tip of my thumb to engage the safety. I then tried apex extended safeties, which just stick further out from the frame and I didn’t like that at all.
Now, with the ak safety I can disegage with my thumb like an ar15 and then engage the ak style safety with my trigger finger. Just like many do with an ambi ar15 safety.
Just read however that people are complaining that the ak style safety is known to disengage when carrying on a sling through bush etc. Its not a problem for my restricted, but something to think about for those getting a non restricted.

Hmmm, I'm not big on a crossbolt safety. I haven't decided on an aftermarket safety yet, but I'm leaning towards a small AK style now. I've got a HB Industries trigger,spring and mag release coming and I'm waiting on a new charging handle to come in stock.

I just installed the HB Industries trigger spring kit and Shooters Element flat trigger in red yesterday. The trigger definitely feels different than before but I can't really tell how much due to the trigger iteself being changed as well.
