CZ Scorpion Evo Thread - Pictures, Videos, Reviews, Range Reports, Accessories, etc.

HBI trigger spring kit and Yeti Wurks Switchback grip (Gen 3) installed, the trigger difference is incredible.

I only got to dry fire it so far with the new springs, can't wait to try it next week at the range.

I was really glad to see they don't have the welded trigger pack anymore.

Not sure if anyone else had this issue but when I went to try and take off the rear sight from my Evo, I found out that the screws for the rear sight were GLUED in. It didn't appear to be locktite but glue and it had leaked off the screws and onto the rail. To make a long story short I ended up stripping the heads on the screws so I'm trying to contact CZ-USA to see if I can buy replacements.

interesting you say this considering that when I bought the gun from you, you told me that CZ never included the screws and clamp......

Fair question but let's keep this thread clean. We don't need to gum this one up with frustration and a bunch of "OOOOO AHHHH" posts from the on lookers.

I just picked one of these up! Can't wait for the transfer to go through! Is it just me or is this the first gun that actually looks good with stubby mags (20rnd).

Well, I finally pulled the trigger on one of these. Wow, what a cool little pistol carbine!!

On a side note the Hendsolt RSA (Zeiss Zpoint is the same optic) fits perfectly and the iron sights on the CZ EVO 3 seem to lower 1/3rd cowitness with the red dot!! I'm pretty happy with this out of the box. I'm really looking forward to shooting it. I'll have to get a single point sling for it. Unfortunately the newest CZ scorptions sold don't have the hand protecting lip. It would have been nice as I use my vertical grip as a back stop rather than handle.

I also picked up a $50 case from Princess auto which seems to be a decent and cost effective match.

Looking good, that case fits perfectly and the MVG just feels right on this gun, I've got one as well on my NR carbine. My two highest recommended upgrades would be the lightened trigger spring and the Yeti Switchback grip (try to get gen 2). Otherwise it's pretty perfect out of the box IMO.

I'm a brand new EVO owner. I haven't had a chance to take it to the range yet. I have some questions:
1. Which grip upgrade do you guys recommend? The Apex Tactical? The Paske Pathfinder? The Yeti Wurks Switchback(gen 3)?
2. My EVO did not come with a forward hand stop. I fear that I may blow off a finger or two. What forward hand stops and/or foregrip do you guys recommend?
3. I see some of the images in this thread show EVOs with covered front rails. How did you guys cover them?
4. I have shoulder injury and I want to minimize recoil. Can anyone recommend a recoil reducing pad that fits the stock? Can anyone recommend a good recoil reducing brake?

Thanks.
