I have the optic ready version. Love it!
I compete in IPSC, so I’ve updated some bits. Easy parts to get regardless of Trudeau.
 
My favourite 9mm so far.
I compete ipsc too. So I changed main spring, recoil spring, extractor spring, firing pin spring, trigger bar spring, trigger return spring, sear spring, mag release spring
Also put a pair of lok-grip on it with a bright neon green shamrock and a matching color mag release button.
Oh ###y and playful baby…:)
 
That’s a whole lot of springs ! Why did you do that and what company made the replacement springs ?

Trigger bar, trigger return, and shear probs for a lighter and cleaner break of the trigger? Im wondering if he also got the kit to shorten the trigger reset as well by modifying the shear and hammer

I have a new black/blue Shadow 2 optic ready as well (and an Urban Grey ordered May 31). Sold all my others in last 6 months to fund these 2 keepers. It’s great right out of the box with no mods. You really don’t need to do anything except shoot the crap out of it! While your doing that there is a wealth of YouTube on the Shadow 2 and CZ 75 in general.

However I seem to have trouble leaving anything stock ;). I’m approaching 1000 rounds now and have Cajun Gunworks springs in the gun and the Cajun Pro kit waiting to install. I’ll do it in stages along with interior polishing.

This is a pretty good disassembly/reassembly video along with all the others out there. Video is clear and easy to see. Not a bad place to start:

The guy in the video posted above is a serious IPSC competitor, and a competition gun would love those mods. If you aren't going to compete, you don't need all those.

When I bought my S2 and took it to the range in factory form, I hated it compared to my tuned SP-01 Shadow. When I got home I changed the mainspring, recoil spring, trigger return spring, (and pin), and firing pin spring. Then it was closer to what I wanted. The following day I finished off my first 1000 rounds, shot two matches that weekend, and then changed the disconnector the next day. Put another 1000 rounds through it, shot another two matches that weekend, and then more practice and matches. In the first three weeks I shot over 3500 rounds and it was getting broken in and feeling really good.

Others have installed a different hammer, shorter disco, or other bits, but I haven't bothered. Haven't felt a need. The gun, as-is, isn't holding me back. It's all me. lol!

Cajun makes good parts, and Eemann's are good too. There are others as well. Some site sponsors carry both those brands, and if there ever is a shortage in this country, you can order parts from Europe easily enough.

One more thing to note: Eemann's mainspring ratings are different than every other manufacturer in the world. The recoil springs measure perfect, and are comparable to others, but the mainsprings are 3-4 lbs different if you look at the numbers. Buying an Eemann spring means you need to add 3-4lbs to their number (#8 is really #11-12) if you were to compare to a Cajun #11 spring. That's the only goofy thing I've found from them.

Eeman is what I got the replacement springs. Did I mention I changed flat trigger and firing pin too? :)
It looks a lot of springs, but when you open the gun up, it's actually not too many.
The main spring makes hammer drop light so the double action is lighter. So I need to change firing pin spring and an extended firing pin.
Then the sear spring to make the wall break crispy. Then the trigger return spring to make the take-up lighter. Mag release spring to make the mag release button lighter. The trigger bar spring... I don't know, just change it anyway. The extractor spring is just a tiny small piece since I am there already, why not :D
 
Two questions Shadow 2 owners.

#1. What ammo dies the Shadow 2 seem to like ?
#3 The spring upgrades that you can purchase and other goodies are the easy to do if you have not done that sort of thing before .
I’m a tinkerer and handy at Mr.Fix it things but never worked on firearms .

I was looking at some custom grips really nice , by Lokgrips

1. I have run different brands either 115, 124 grains, CCI, Remington, Federal, PMC...etc, zero issues
2. easy to install springs: recoil spring, main spring, firing pin spring, extractor springs. Not so easy but not impossible: trigger return spring, sear spring.

I had same concern as you before, and I am no way a handy man. I can do it, you can too. Just watch some youtube's over and over again, and go through the steps go over and over in your mind, you will be fine.
I found most important thing is that when you take out some small springs, such as extractor spring, or safety plunger spring, be careful don't lose it because they intend to fly and those suckers are really small.

I like my lok-grips very much. I ordered from their website directly. There was a discount some youtubers posted basically giving you a free shipping.

I’m using Lok bogies. Very grippy.
Some people struggle with the mainspring, but it isn’t bad. The trigger return spring isn’t bad either. You’ll learn the little things that make it easy. Putting the sear cage back in can be finicky with the little bits that need to stay at the sides.

I have a messed up magazine, so I’m going to screw it to a board so I can stand the gun upright for things like that.

When you put back the sear cage and then the safety you are pretty much done but don’t get overexcited before the right hand safety is all the way in. First time I did it it was stuck I had no idea they there was a tiny little invisible spring beside the hammer needed to be depressed to let safety go through.
Those little things take practice and experience, if you really don’t feel comfortable, get some experienced guys from the range to watch you do it.
after I have done it 3 times, I can do all those springs within 20 minutes top
