Well I wasn't really impressed with the quality of the guide rod that came with my Shadow 2 so I order the all new stainless steel guide rod and spring from the IPSC Store. Along with that I decided to purchase an extra firing pin as well just in case. The IPSC Store is a great place to buy parts for the CZ. http://www.ipscstore.eu/

As for the guide rod, I'll have to check, but I think the 2's rod is slightly longer, but I could be wrong. I'd have just polished it.
 
Not aggressive at all, sick of people posting stupid crap like that though. But I guess when one has been around this site as long as I have it's to be expected.

THanks for the measurement on the guide rod, I'm curious as to which one Kidcom ordered, I haven't seen anyone other than Robin Sebo offering guide rods for the 2.
 
Speaking of guide rods, there is a nipple on the shadow 2 guide rod that sits against the barrel lug.... Was that on the original shadow? It's not on my tanfoglio and it seems like it would eventually wear/scratch a divot into the barrel lug.

Your probably right, I could have just polished but the muzzle end. It looks a wee bit rough so I thought I might as well buy the new stainless steel version that the IPSC store was selling.

Slavex if you check my post at the beginning of this thread you'll see the URL for the IPSC store. Check them out as they have some great stuff for sale. I've bought several Glock related items from them a well. Great customer service, fast shipping at reasonable rates. My latest order, which includes the Shadow 2 guide rod, cost me less than $100CDN shipped.
 
Lets see some pics of your Shadow 2, and side by side of both guide rods to compare the finish. Its getting harder for me to resist adding one to the stable

I just took my guiderod out, and it is as smooth as can be, with no roughness. Maybe you had a dud.
