Am I missing something or is every single CZ listed on the EE ridiculously overpriced, like hundreds over the value of a new rifle in some cases. Was looking to get into a used .22 but for those prices I'll just save up until I can afford brand new.

CZ452's are no longer being made so the price has gone up a bit for them. That being said, I am not sure why 455's are increasing in price but there could be a supply shortage like everything else.

They do hold their value but the retail prices on the cz455 has gone down some compared to the previous 452. There still are 452's out there and all but one in EE is overpriced!
Now if I could just find an Ultra-lux at a DECENT price?

Yes, I agree. I was thinking of a used CZ and have been watching listings. I have decided that I might as well buy a new 455 if I really want one. If I didn't like it I guess I could list on here for more than I paid.

The same sellers at these shows seem to have the same inventory year after year.

I know what you mean. I found it funny when I told the one seller he was $60 higher than a new rifle for his old one that he still wouldn't budge on the price. Idiots !! Must have lots of energy and nothing better to do than carry the same guns in and out of gun shows weekend after weekend. Same guy came to the table I had at one show and wanted something I had for half of what I was asking. Told him to go pound salt and not to come back.

Scott...

Darn right!!
The value of a rifle does not depends on how much modifications or love you have put in it!!!
It s not because you put 1000$ on a 300$ rifle that its value is 1300$

Well, I got $50 more than I paid for it. I pillar bedded it, did a 3 point steel bedding job, and coated the bore with dyna bore cote. I bought the gun used, but had it tuned so well that it would shoot a ragged one hole group at 50 yards if I did my part. I paid $500 for it, and sold it for $550 to someone who was wanting that work done anyways, and didn't want to do it himself.

You dont have to justified yourself. I was not pointing my finger at you. Sorry if you felt pointed at. But i am mostly angry about the hypes. Example. Nylon 66s. A few years ago no much word about them. Could be bought between 2 and 300$ wich is about what they really worth. But now!! Its like everybody wants one and i have seen them on the EE 400$ and more FIRM!! Come on!!! The value did not go up one cent. But some buyers did pay that ammount and some sellers go with people willingness to pay. Anyway, i will not change anything here. So if i want something, i m willing to wait for a fair price even if i have to wait a bit. And yes a 452 is a very nice rifle. A LUX was sold for about 529$ new. So a used should not be over 450$.
