dlask still tries to import some, but for some reason they can't. I've been bugging them since january about a steel guide rod for a shadow, and they can't seem to get it. They say it's waiting for export licence or something like that.

I just found out that's Gretch is the Canadian Warranty center for Legacy Sports International as well: Howa, Lithgow Arms, Pointer shotguns, Escort, Webley & Scott, Citadel, NikkoStirling and Webley airguns.

My dad's "prized" CZ he save years to buy is there.

I don't have enough swear words...

Dlask, with their amazing service, needs to be the service dept for this stuff. Not a cage of monkeys...

First thing to consider is WHERE you're storing your firearm(s) and in WHAT. Could be humidity from the location (e.g. basements or near windows and exterior walls), or moisture trapped inside the enclosure. The next thing to consider is HOW you're caring for it (which you've started), but maybe you aren't lubricating it enough. See where I am going with this root cause analysis.. Where/what/when/how/why.. keep asking yourself these questions

I heard last week that CZ are looking at another warranty centre for Canada. Writting CZ USA won't do squat they are a seperate entity than CZUB unless you bought a grey market CZ of course

Do you guys have a gunsmith on site in house? if so, it may make so much sense that you guys should be the warranty depot as you pretty much now sell ALL the CZ rifles in Canada, well at least an exclusive right to the CZ scorpion and Bren 805. Plus you guys have been dealing with them on so many occations and projects throughout all these years

We have an armourer on site but he does not have the time or resources to take on any further warranty work as he already covers Accuracy International, Daniel Defence, Armalite, Alpharms, Utas, Robinson Armament, etc (all exclusive brands to Wolverine Supplies).
We were asked by CZ a couple of years ago to be a warranty centre but we had to politely decline mostly from a customer service standpoint. Being a warranty centre brings its own issues and challenges as a customer is usually already upset that his product needs repair and then if you do not have the right parts in stock they are stuck with an extended wait for repair. We did not want to leave ourselves vulnerable to lowering our customer service expectations.

We don't buy anything from CZ anymore. All of the parts we buy are from a different manufacturer that supplies OEM parts to various firearms companies. He is a top notch machinist and his product shows it. We *should have that new shipment from Czech in early next week, maybe even Monday. I will post here once it is in and show a few of the new things we are getting as well.

As for being the CZ warranty depot we wouldn't mind honestly but the person we were dealing with at CZ treated us like we were beggers asking for change. It got to the point where we would only receive 2 shipments of spares a year if we were lucky. That left many people emailing and calling us to complain and while we tried to explain we were doing what we could it wasn't enough. Once we did receive a shipment of parts we would normally be able to fix every warranty gun we had back logged within 2-3 days. After a while I was spending 1-2 hours A DAY dealing with what was essentially CZ's poor service and I just couldn't afford to do that forever.

We asked for some small parts / firearms to sell so we could recoup costs but they said no, that would piss off the 'big boys' that deal CZ in Kanada. So, we quit.

Sorry about the snafu with Grech guys but it almost certainly isn't 100% their fault they are not able to get parts for your warranty issues.

I've become attached to my CZ's lately and always looking to add more. They seem like a good value when quality is of importance. Thankfully mine haven't required warranty or service, but this is disheartening to hear how CZ is treating the Canadian Market. Something we will have to consider (as others have mentioned) going forward. The "big guys" eh...

Thank you Dlask and Wolverine for clarifying the issue with warranty time service.

Cleaning consists of patchout until patches are clean followed by a heavy patch of G96 lubricant/preservative worked through the barrel a few times. Case is stored ground level with a stackon dehumidifier. None of my other firearms have problems with rust or pitting. Friggen sucks! I have no idea how it happened .

However, the point I want to make is this: it is DLASK who has the high customer service directive that is explaining this, not Grech. My attitude is simple: it is not that a mistake was made or a problem created by a service center that matters... it is how that problem or mistake is communicated and handled! You, DLASK, obviously have the how handled a lot better than Grech.

It is unfortunate for those who get to deal with Grech and not DLASK... I'm not dictating your business practice, venting a little in a way that hopefully is also some praise for you.

Sounds like CZ needs a new REP for Canadian region, and i also respect Wolverine for not wanting to ruin their reputation.

Wait, do I understand correctly that the official service center for CZ can't store (and/or sell) parts for CZ firearms? Like, even if you know a given part on certain model keeps breaking, they won't let your store a few of them to make sure repairs can be made in a timely manner?

Have dealt with Dlask in the past, they did their trigger job on my SR-22 and sold me some kids parts for it. Fast, courteous, professional. There are a couple of CZ's that have caught my eye, but after hearing this they're off my list. I

Thanks for the heads up. IMO, how you treat customers who have already purchased your product says more about a companies ethics than what a company is willing to do to get a sale. No thanks.

Yeah. I inquired with grech earlier on asking about the cz scorpion trigger swapping program. Not available to us Canadian

The issue is the shear quantity of different firearms CZ has sold / sells. We did order quantity of spares for the most common problems that would pop up but some parts (for Turkish made shot guns and walnut stocks that just kept cracking) were almost impossible to get. We had to wait 14 months once for them to supply shot gun parts. It was so bad we actually INSISTED they just replace the gentleman's gun with a new one. Brutal.

The issue with other things that would go wrong is that CZ would require us to pay for the parts up front. This means they expected us to have TENS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS of stock just sitting here doing nothing while they waited for a warranty to pop up. As well the racking and warehouse space and computers system for organization etc....you get the point. We just could not do this as it makes ZERO sense from a business stand point. Warranty is THEIR problem, not ours.

If they would have seen sense they would have offered to rent a small warehouse unit and outfit it with what they need then just charge every month when parts are used for repairs....but that's just not the CZ way unfortunately.
