CZ Warranty Depot for Canada...

I just submitted a CZ warranty claim with Grech. I'll report back my experience.

After 4 phone calls and 3 emails, i am still waiting to hear back from gretch. Apparently it takes months for them to check if they have a 527 stock.

Wolverine, are you taking over for these guys?

Phoned GRECH OUTDOORS to see if they had a Mossberg barrel in stock and they said probably so - in the back room. They would not look for me just then but said to email them my inquiry. I did (Nov. 2nd) and have been waiting for a reply since. I'm not holding my breath.

I'm wondering if all those unhappy with Grech would email CZ as well as the Canadian importers previously listed here in this thread by Wolverine and inform them that they will no longer be purchasing CZ firearms until such time as a better warranty depot and warranty service has been provided in Canada.

I own a couple of CZ's and based on this thread alone would not even bother trying to contact Grech....

I feel the same. Not sure how my dealer with handle my case - either refund or exchange. But I will not want to send in for repair base on the information I get here.

Albertz - if I were you I would ask the retailer to give you a refund or a new gun and let them handle the repair work through the warranty center and when they see how badly they get treated maybe they will contact CZ and tell them to get a different guy looking after the warranties

I will try. If they allow me to make an exchange that will solve my problem. However, until I talk to the shop owner next Tuesday I don’t know how they will handle it. Wish I could add a picture here so you can see the difference between a good 527 bolt and a bad 527 bolt / an unfinished bolt...

I really hope my CZ 452 Varmint never breaks down. There is no way in H&#L i am sending it to Grech Outdoors.
Also as much as I want another CZ, like the 452 American, the new 457, or the 512, I don't see it happening without a lot of thought, now that I have read this thread.

if you have a picture on your phone it's easy. I just use tinypic, search through my phone gallery and hit upload to forum size. then I copy and paste the forum embed link into a post.

They are the same 7.62 39 cz 527 carbine bolts.
The problematic one is the one with a thicker extractor obviously having a different cut.

I can see the difference. I own a CZ550FS . I hope that I have no problems with it. Just ordered a CZ 527 223. Now I am having second thoughts.

When I buy lottery tickets I usually don’t have this kind of luck... lol
This bolt needs a lot of rework.
My biggest question is since there is a 3-shot shooting test paper in the box when I received the gun, I wonder how did they do the test if the gun doesn’t even take cartridges???
Yes I am questioning their honesty, seriously.

The “good” bolt vs the “bad” bolt. I would never find the problem without a side by side comparison.
This is a joke they put a “testing” result letter in the box. :bangHead:
The “unfinished” extractor is so stiff that it can’t be moved.

Here is my very recent story with cz products. I hope it never happened on anyone else because it sucks.
I ordered a cz 527 carbine from a local dealer. Waited three months to get it since it was shipped from US.
The second day I received it (last week) I went out sighting in the scope and the first round got stuck in the camber - I couldn’t load the brand new gun! So I thought it was because it was too new - actually I talked to the other firearm dealer in town couple days later about the issue I had and they thought it was because cz’s machining tolerance is too small.
So on that day, I tried everything I know to “fix” the problem and I was indeed able to feed the gun with the magazine. 40 rounds through the barrel that day and the cz 527 seemed to be very inaccurate.
Went out shooting yesterday with another brand new cz 527 which needed breaking in as well.
The problem showed up again and it was way worse. I don’t know maybe because it was a colder day or not the cz 527 with feeding problem couldn’t take any cartridge. So I compared the two bolts very carefully and mamma-Mia!! They were machined in totally different ways on some parts!
First the extractor on the “bad bolt” has a different shape, it is a lot thicker and uses a different profile. I couldn’t figure out why cz used different cuts for the same product, the bad one looks like unfinished.
Second and the most critical finding was that the bolt face on the bad bolt didn’t fit for the 7.62 39 cartridges. It is defactive and I don’t believe there is anyway to fix it because it was machined in a wrong shape!
I am so frustrated and I am a cz fan. Now I totally lost faith in them.
I will talk to the dealer next Tuesday to hear how they can help me out. Worst case scenario is they can’t help but because of the discussion here I won’t send the gun to the current warranty shop simply because I don’t want to wait for a year.
I made a couple videos about the problem and these two videos were surposed to be nice target shooting vids but turned out to be complaints.
I hope cz feel my frustration - letting a defective rifle out of the shop is unacceptable! Period.

CZ don't gives a #### about you. Its a bunch of Commies and KGB agents.

I am hitting 11 months waiting for my warranty work from Gretch with no contact since Aug after I sent them daily emails. Owned 7 CZs and sold them all after my experience. Would never buy one again because of warranty issues. Regardless the size of the market you need to respect your customers even if it is 1 or 10000000000.

It seems that Grech has some "service" issues.
I called them for pricing on some projectiles as they don't provide pricing on their web site. The woman answering the phone seemed to be in a real rush so I asked her if it would be better for her if I sent an email with the list of items I was looking for. She said that they would respond within 24 hours.
I immediately sent an email with the product description and product code. Three weeks later and no response. Can't say that i buy or refer them. Poor!
By comparison, I just placed an order with X-Reload for brass and projectiles. Had a few questions which were immediately answered in detail. Job done with first rate service.

Lesson learned...in a very hard way...
I am definitely going to update my situation with this POS bolt...
Just bought a Tikka T3X CTR today, first thing I checked was the action... lol I am still so nervous since I haven’t fired it yet.

Agreed. I am hitting a year now without my CZ 527 carbine after the stock cracking behind the receiver literally after the first day at the range. I have contacted Grech way too many times to mention and CZ directly. To this day, still nothing but wasted time and really sore feelings about CZ and Grech.

If anyone wants to open a class action suit, I'm in. :bangHead:
