CZ527 Carbine, just unpackaged

I bet you will be very impressed with the accuracy with S&B and handloads in these guns. I mostly shoot norinco non corrosive copper wash and get 2-3 moa groups and have lots of fun at the range shooting steel at 200 yards.

They are very nice rifles!
I had one in 223 for years. It was a fantastic little unit. Very accurate too. I got every bit as good of accuracy out of that little CZ as I get out of my much heavier barrelled Tikka. Only reason I sold it was the slow twist rate wouldn’t allow me to run the heavies. Rebarreling it would have been expensive too.

I have one as well and think they r a decent short range brush gun. Will have to say tho I prefer the non winged version of the trigger guard as I cut down my mags. I debated about sending mine out to get chopped but it seems the guy in the states won't do cross border work. I ended up doing it myself, It's super simple all I did was trace around the magwell then cut off the portion of mag bellow it minus one 16th, then put two small tack welds inside the mag to hold the bottom on and now have nice flush mags and didnt even need to re blue anything. It's well worth the time invested as the rifle can be carried one handed naturally through the bush. I will admit tho I can only get two rounds in it plus one in the chamber so if firepower is your thing this might not be for you, that being said tho if you left a bit more meat beyond flush you could probabaly get three in there but would probabaly have to be trial and error to figure out the right amount to cut off.

That's an interesting mod. Can you post a few photos?
Personally, I like flexibility in my hunting tools. I want both a 3-rounder and a 10-rounder for hunting and range work respectively. The 5-rounder is however sufficient for my needs

I'll keep on shoting my .223 with the proper trigger guard and 5 round mags because it just works fine in that configuration.

But then with all certain people expecting it to be I keep an eye out for 100 round drum mags.

On the other hand I would probably stand by for the belt fed version to be released pretty soon. Strictly for range work though..., lol.

Zero feeding issues, plus as a bonus it actually feeds the blunt nose projectiles that I use properly, my 5 rounders consistently jammed them

I bought a CZ 527 Carbine in 7.62x39 after I tried a friends at the range. Upon my first shots at the range, I was very impessed with the groups I was getting with Federal Fusion 123gr sp, the Hornady black ammo 123gr SST on the other hand was 2nd. I look forward to doing some hand loads and some hunting with this rifle! The single set trigger is ###y.

The groups are hard to see in this one, but thats four shots with Federal Fusion

Brrrr, looks bloody down right cold!!
Nice guns though and good enough for deer and other four legged vermin.

What are folks using for rings/bases on these? Seems to be plenty of options, thinking of picking an x39 up while they are still relatively cheap.

I found a set of rings made by Burris marked for Tikkas that were of the appropriate dovetail width and the PERFECT height. They had a recoil lug on one rings bottom which disappeared on the grinding wheel.
Thought I'd mention it if you can't find purpose made ones by Warne, Leopold or the like.
