Cz805??????

They look nice, but the ergonomic is mediocre and it is not light. At close to 9lb, it cannot compete against SCAR. When it comes to price, the AX160 beats it to the punch. When it comes to experience, it has very limited track record even within the CZ military. The special forces market is all HK 416. So far the CZ has made almost no sales outside of their own country. The CZ military is slow to make their orders as there seems to be noises about the weight of the weapon

I would rather take the Radon MSBS, but it looks it will be a vaporware too as the Polish MOD just made another order of 8000 Beryls earlier.

Please elaborate about the price. And according to cz website it comes in at 7.7lbs or did you mean 9lbs loaded with an red dot on? mind you the beretta is lighter still at a claimed 6.8lbs.

I thought both the beretta and cz have been marketed overseas already? Not sure about success rate of either on the international market, as you said the go to gun for most sf seem to be the hk416 of some generation or other with no signs of that changing anytime soon.

And it's possible that they might be phasing in the MSBS slowly.

IIRC, CZ charged the czech government about 2500 dollars per unit ( without optics ) for their initial order. That was couple years ago.

Do you know how much the Beretta went for? I mean this is all hypothetical, we would be charged more than gov contracts... if we get them at all.

Apparently the 805 is going to be replaced by the 806, to fix some of the short comings after feedback from the CZ military.

What I found interesting is that the CZ 805 was originally designed to have a polymer receiver and they changed there mind. I do not think the CZ Bren represents a great leap forward in design like its predecessor the VZ58 was!

Interesting read, it does makes sense, thank you. So the question now is that if they will bother making any more 805 or will it be halted outright for the 806.

If this comes in under 2000, especially under 1500, I will be saving all my pennies to buy one, cuz damn, son!

Looks like the pistol version is selling for about $1800 US right now.... Unlikely it'll be under $2000 CAD when it is available here.

I know there's a prohibited entry for the original Czech select fire 805. But has anyone actually submitted one of the Cz USA pistols to the RCMP?

I was under the impression that 805 uses a modular trigger pack, so going from semi to select fire is just a simple swap.

I shot a select fire CZ805 Bren yesterday in Vegas. Great gun. If we get a non prohibited version I'll be buying one.

Such a flat shooting carbine. I hate to say this, but I preferred it to my Tavor...
