I failed to clean my CZ858 properly before leaving town. I oiled everything quickly, and when I got back...well...if there was a "child protection" service for guns they'd take my rifle away cuz my baby looks bad.
Gas piston is fine, there was a tiny bit of rust in the groove but it's all cleaned out and polished a wire brush.
i'm concerned about the bore. the rifling isn't looking bright and shiny. i've run solvent down it with the nylon brush. poured boiling hot water through it a few times. patches are coming out a little dirty, but it just doesn't look that good yet.
any suggestions? i hear about this "smaller brush with fine steel wool" trick, but that just makes me nervous.
i wish these non-restricted CZ's had chrome lined bores.
