cz858 looks so cool it should be illegal

Well lets see, what happened is a bunch of crooked useless f**king policitians decided that our rights and freedoms are only here to step on and that they could score votes by ass f**king us.

The policitians have nothing at all to do with it. The people that voted for them have everything to do with it.

oh ok

is this legal to use on small game??

where can i buy in ontario, toronto

Provided you have a PAL you can buy one online. 7.62x39 is the cartridge used in the infamous ak47, its on par ballistically with the 30 30. About 1600 ft lbs of muzzle energy.

Its not a small game cartridge, more of an intermediate Deer cartridge.

The anti gun retards portray the ak47 and its cartridge as a high powered unstoppable baby killing machine, but of course in reality, most common hunting cartridges make it look like pip squeak.

I partially agree, and partially do not. I guess it comes from expecting joe-blow fellow range user to mind their own f**King business unless somebody is acting in an obviously dangerous fashion.

... but then again I prefer an empty range.

To be fair, he was minding his business - the President of the range he presides over! You can bet that if I'm up there and see something that piques my interest I'll speak up too. As a paying user and one of the executive too, I'll be looking out for the best interests of the range and it's members.
While he can be gruff, there was an honest querry to the status - as there are both versions available with the platform, and there have been past cases where restricted have been on the public range.

Should all rifles be non-restricted? Absolutely. But what should be and what is are two different things.

I'm new to this "buy online" thing.

What is a good universal gun store site for Canada? (preferably Ontario)

How exactly does buying one work? Does it get shipped to a gun store/dealer and you have to pick it up there and pay a transfer fee or does it just come directly to your house (that'd be awesome but I have a feeling thats not the case...)

Ellwood Epps, hands down. Guns are shipped with Canada Post right to your door.

well, it depends if you know what you are looking for, if you do then buying online is very simply and easy, dont limit yourself to just one store when you can also shop across the country at dozens of dealers and it would make very little difference in cost .

if you dont live near a dealer then its very convinient cos they are shipped to your door. albeit you may have to wait a week or two, unlike buying a non-rest from a store, you can drive away with it .

about transfer fee (shipping cost ) will be added to the total price when you pay.

for your first time, best bet is to buy from a dealer, later on you can try from other individuals.

No rifle looks so cool it should be banned, no gun should ever be prohibited because of appearance.

'Show up at the trap club with a Benelli M4 and count the number of times someones says...

"What are you gonna shoot with that?"
or
"What is that for?"

I see your Benelli M4, and raise you a Truveo Neostead 2000.

Now, that's a skeet shotgun. :D

On a more serious note, with wood instead of plastic, CZ858 looks awfully like an AK-47 to the inexperienced. Yes, there is no tell tale fire selector, but most people (even at a gun range) do not know what to look for.

If you cannot tell the difference between a cz and ak you should not own either of them.

I'm exactly ignorant of guns, but until a few years ago I wouldn't have took the VZ 58 at first glance as anything other than another Eastern European Kalashnikov variant.
