Cz858 prices hilarious.

I listed one locally for 1200 3 days ago it sold the next morning guy didn't even try and lowball me

LOL. In a couple weeks time, the price will start dropping like a stone. There are so many VZ58's out there specifically because you DON'T have to stay at a range to use one today.

Realistically how many VZ58 owners even have a range membership? Less than half?

Supply & demand... demand is about to dry up, but not the supply.

I was seriously considering the Swiss arms , had a deal here in Ottawa earlier in the weak and I couldn't make up my mind , wish I could do that over .
If the legislation gets approved , what approximate timeframe are we looking at ?

for a SA? If you find one and get it, I'll give you 1000$ for it!

(i know you're talking about the 858 ;) )

I also posted a WTB ad with a 500$ cap. Might consider lowering that do 3-400 in the weeks preceding the deadline.

People are trying to capitalize on the panicked buyers. I’m not paying $1000 to take “your” problem. Most of these owners don’t want them because the appeal is NR. Once that’s gone so is the lustre. Once it goes prohibited , the amount of buyers dry up. You are trying to sell the same gun to another owner that has it already. Look at the prohib prices on the EE lol. I for sure cheap prices coming.... my take at least.

The run on CZ sales is probably the funniest gun related thing I have seen in quite a while, bunch of cowards... will be really funny when this bill is shot down and all these people can't get their guns back :D

Well my people on the inside have been encouraging me to get either of these 2 guns for about a year and they swear it will pay off. No this isn't a joke, I traded for one in December and super pleased. I think there is more to this than people know. When someone who helped draft the bill says "find this gun asap, you will thank me later" ya I take it serious.

I am not on the EE so cannot check asking prices, but someone at the range over the weekend was telling me that a lot of CZ-858 were for sale... this leads me to believe that many are trying to "dump" their rifles before Bill C-71 becomes law. Can someone confirm please?

In any case, I have decided to keep mine, no matter what happens, I am not selling. It's my own personal line in the sand, so to speak. Worse case scenario, I will loose $1k but will make sure to shoot the sh**t out of it before no more ATTs are issued, which will certainly come after a few years if the past is a reflection of the future.

Sad that these rifles are being classified as prohibs since I doubt that any of these rifles have ever been converted to full auto in Canada

Yup, agree. But to "some law enforcement agencies", they are too similar to an AK-47 and therefore the plebes cannot be allowed to own them...
