Cz858 prices to take a dive once type81's here.

I still own and until 2005 use to shoot my AK FEG from Hungry, Norinco AKs, RPKS and now the CZ858, and VZ-58. And though I love the CZ, I found the barrel heats up faster than my FEG Ak. I would take my FEG AK over any Red Rifle.

Just my opinion and 2 cents.

There's no way in hell the Type 81 is superior to the AK. I know the Chinese designed it to be, but somehow they stopped making the T81 and still crank out Type 56's. Usually the better gun doesn't go away.
 
I would buy a new CZ for 750$ anyday, CZ are crazy limited in numbers in Canada. I love mill surplus. I had to settle for the commercial VZ58 a few years ago but now I got a CZ. Lots of fun for both of them. Ill probably get a T81 too when they come down to the 820-850 mark.
 
I love the flames.. Nothing like someone's panty's riding high to bring in drug references to show their ineptness lol I've shot AKs,vz,cz,fn fals,mp's even 249 saws and many many other firearms (rpgs in Malaysia next). Keep hating cry babies. I love to irritate.
 
Are the type 81 rifles Canuck civvies will get made with the same quality level and from the same factories as real military type 81s?
Or some butchered imitation as the t97 is to the real military qbz 95-1plus rifles?

If it's the latter it will be highly disappointing, I'm hoping it's not. Otherwise we will not truly get to experience the original military design, but just a poor altered toy that only resembles the original piece.

Even the civvies cz858 suffers from a butchered mechanism hence all the gremlins.

None.

The number of CZ's is limited. They aren't making them anymore. It has two values: value as a shooter (which, arguably, the price of the CZ's surpassed this value a while ago), and a value as a collectible.

It is the second factor that is determining the price of the guns now.
 
I haven't had a good experience with many Chinese guns, and I've owned many. Poor metallurgy, poor fit and finish generally. The only ones that tend to work are the 1911 copies, and the new ones are actually pretty darn good especially for the price. But I doubt anything Chinese made will compare to the cz/vz platform. History proves me right so far, lets see if they can finally make something decent for export.

If you handled/fired T97 and M305, both made by the same company cranking out the T81, you'd wait and see. Try getting spare parts for T97, apparently its real challenging...love the armorer kits that sold couple years ago for the CZ.

Anyhow, dont know what your point is. CZs are in country and have been for years and T81 will be added to the list of semi-auto 7.62x39. Superior or not, it will be punching paper and shooting stuff in gravel pit like the others.

I'd love one to compare it but:

1- never get the first version of something (applies to cars, electronic and mostly everything else)
2- dont mind paying 100% for something I can walk out of the door with...
3- I'll wait and see what they are really worth

I personnaly think CZ and T81 should sell for around 700-800$ but our dollar being what it is then supply and demand makes them 1000$.

Good for you, many people here went to Vegas and paid to shoot many more, and many of us are serving members/retired from different branch of the CF and shot a huge amount with a lot of canadian and foreign weapons and it doesn't make any of us "firearm expert"

Just enjoy a new 7.62x39 AK looking semi-auto coming to Canada.

I doubt hes even buying a T81, hes probably just angry about the CZ and VZ prices. Hell, I am to. I want a brand new restricted version for 800$ again. If I new the prices were going up so high I would have picked up a safe queen on top of my shooter. Sight sponsors are selling used ones for 1199.99$, and new restricted ones at 1200$! Bla... Always wanted a cheap folding VZ i could one hand like on 007, but Its not going to happen for me now.

Recently north sylva posted a MSRP of 1400$ for one model. Thats 40% increase, think its more to do then exchange rate and also increased demand.
