I hunt usually Cowichan Valley, around Nit Nat (Granite Main) or Powell River. It's all coastal mountain rain forest, so you always get wet and tired. I never once went hunting and not had a gun get thoroughly soaked through, except in September, when the hunting isn't that great and you have to get up at 3am.
The last time I went out, I spent 20 minutes oiling my Mosin. 10 minutes after getting out of the truck, you couldn't find a part of the gun that wasn't wet. You're basically breaking your gun down in the truck to try and dry it off with the vents.
