Czech 7.62x39 now banned in Canada! WTF? False alarm, all is well.

Yes, but they approve my permits. I sure they will be calling you soon. Make sure you ask lots of questions.
 
I just ran down to my local shop and bought a case and also told them about this. They hadn't heard, but looked pretty nervous and are going to follow up. I told the guys there to grab as much as they could for personal use and let other shooters know to do the same.
 
If you have it in writing that it is approved for sale, you have no legal reason to assume otherwise. If someone tells you it is not approved for sale, get it in writing, and have them reference the original approval.

Smells like a Lieberal political move.

He said they were working their way through the list of dealers to notify them. He apparently just got off the phone with another local importer who was told to remove his stock from sale.

So is there anything we can do to bring attention to this stupidity? Yes, I spoke with Wolverine Supplies and they told me they had to pull the 7.62x54r off the market. They have to turn it in to the Feds for destruction. Stupid.:mad:
 
Everyone call your CPC candidate in your riding asking, WTF (or words to that effect)? That should get some attention...

If not - I hope you took their name CanadaAmmo...because after the election, they might be asking "Want fries with that?"
 
Death by a thousand cuts. They can ban guns one at a time so why not calibers? Ban enough of both and there won't be enough shooters out there to raise a stink when they come after all the guns. Vote Conservative.
 
We have thousands of rounds of this ammo at work, and no call yet...so Island Outfitters.
 
I had heard that it was just the Czech 7.62x54R ammo and NOT the 7.62x39. Some BS about it not being on the approved explosives list.

I love how the Government keeps us safe :runaway:

is this the same Czeck 7,62 x 39 ammo that has been for sale all over Canada for the past two years+ and that everyone has been buying and using? Wouldn't it a little late to ban it now? I think somone is pulling a prank here.

They did the exact same thing with X54 a year ago. They would have to be one one hell of a prankster.
