DA Grizzly 12.5 with folding stock

I believe there are few a stocks that will keep it just over the 26" limit. I have heard the the knox over the top wire folder is 26" on the money (may have to add a sling plate). Also i believe the sage telescoping stock (not folding) also keeps it over 26". Most folders will make it restricted or prohibited.

Throw that butler creek folder on a 12.5" and send it off to the RCMP. Tell me how it works out for ya.

I think the Knox sissy stock might be long enough.
 
This threads getting funny, lol. That black hawk p grip above seems to be the way to go. Get a tape measure in any case. Its easy with any imagination, to bring any stock to 26 inch. Be creative man.

OK, what happens then? Do they say "thanks for the shotgun, that was really nice of you, we appreciate it"? Do you need a Hallmark card with it, or a personal note :)?

If the Knoxx was an underfolder, I would probably get it "because I can". It looks more awkward than a full stock as an overfolder.
 
Not to further stir the pot, but here is what the fact sheet says. I would look at that one line and say the gun was restricted and I am sure a LEO may as well. If I am wrong, I would appreciate the educaton.

Definition of a restricted firearm

According to the Criminal Code, a restricted firearm is:

a handgun that is not a prohibited firearm,
a firearm that
is not a prohibited firearm,
has a barrel less than 470 mm in length, and
is capable of discharging centre-fire ammunition in a semi-automatic manner,
a firearm that is designed or adapted to be fired when reduced to a length of less than 660 mm by folding, telescoping or otherwise, or
a firearm of any other kind that is prescribed to be a restricted firearm

Juster, what does your shotgun measure to with the stock folded? If it is less than 26", it's restricted. That is quite clearly listed in the criminal code.

Ignorance is not an excuse for the law, hopefully you have a restricted firearms license because if that folds to less than 26", the RCMP might have some fun with you.

Yet another philosopher here guys, "quite clear & criminal code" you sir must be a lawyer cause this here country bunkin could swear that "quite clear" is pretty muddy when it comes to shotguns. I'm sure CANAM will come around shortly and for the BILLIONTH time post the shotgun regs for your city slickers to translate for us.

And to throw another fly in the ointment I would like to bring to your attention that you CAN put a pistol grip on your 12.5 inch shotty and it WILL remain non-restricted, but if you want to leave it on for more than 29 days you have to report it to the CFO so they re-classify it as a restricted, then you will love this, once its a restricted it can't be reclassified as a non-restricted (I'z Thinks). The point I'm trying to make is that simply making it shorter than 660 mm's temporarily doesn't make it a restricted, so all you "FACT" commanders are quite wrong :)

At this point if I was a rapper in a rap battle I would drop my microphone spread my hands and say "school up before you step up, suuuunnnn"

I said my peace, agree or disagree you sir are entitled to an opinion, I do have to let you know though that personal insults will get this thread locked up quick and none of us will enjoy this debate on who should have been a toilet birth.

Personal insults, and discussion of illegal activities alike. Encouraging someone to delay 29 days with a firearm that could easily land them in legal trouble may, in itself not be illegal, but it's sure as shart highly irresponsible.

To the OP... I put a top folding ATI stock on my 15" barrel grizz and if it weren't for the angle of the pistol grip the overall would be less than 26". It is a FACT that if I were to put the same stock on a 12" or 8" grizz I'd knowingly be in possession of a firearm that no longer met the requirements of being non-restricted. Just because my stock doesn't work it doesn't mean others wouldn't.
I, personally don't think that any LEO would accept the 29 day window policy if you were to be asked even if it may be within the required time to notify the RCMP. The common practice would be to confiscate and you're forced to deal with the headache of the legal system to prove your innocence.
