Dall Sheep With a Bow...........Again

Congrats to James, Beautiful Ram. I don't feel so bad this year though. We were in a zone by Kusawa and I struck out. Last year James and I were ten km apart and he came out with that beautiful caribou. Like Boomer said we were in for a week hunt and had to pull out three days early due to my partners knees giving out. First time sheep hunt is supposed to be a learning lesson I hear. Many lessons learned this time.

Besides which I was there when he popped out...........a hospital switch is possible I guess, but the Whitehorse maternity ward just isn't that overrun on any given day, or week for that matter. That's heavy! Held a stone sheep like that a few years ago ended up going 171 and was the biggest stone from the Yukon that year.
 
Hey SH did that happen to belong to Brian Dobson? He shot a hog a couple years ago and it was the best outfitter taken Stone that year. The kid is an official scorer for B&C, but hasn't sat down with all his CORRECT paraphernalia yet to score him. He just threw a rough tape on him to see if he'd go #1 but no such luck. He'll get a proper measure here in the next few days, or I will when I get home this weekend. A super ram regardless and another in the all time top 5 in B&C. He'll keep applying for that zone until he shoots a new #1, I know him and he's a more obsessed sheep hunter than I was. That area holds the genetics to produce a new #1, he's just got to keep looking.

BUM........all I can say is I hope they look like their mother, I've never seen their mother, but I have seen pics of their father...........sure hope they look like their mother.:p:p
