Post person came today and delivered me a package from KODIAK OUTPOST. I've been waiting a long time for this.

I've finally put her away for the night, but snapped a few quick pics for your viewing pleasure.
If anyone else has a CBOB please post as well :)

I've got some grips in the mail, and today installed an Aftec Extractor from FREEDOM VENTURES... Why? I like the idea so I've always wanted to try one but never had a 1911 nice enough to justify the cost... I think this one warrants it (and now I have a backup extractor in the parts drawer) ;)

Alumagrips (Thin & Smooth) - Took some getting used to the feel (it's sooooo thin!) This would be the ultimate carry gun. I like the cutout to remove the mainspring housing, but, looking at all these other fancy 1911 grips I'm thinking I don't like the plain look of Alumagrips :) Oh well. It's simple and clean. Very functional.

Oh... and for anyone wondering how the AFTEC is... it's working great!
Zero problems. I read that some people worried if the springs broke or got weak it would no longer function... well... I installed the AFTEC with NO springs and it still worked (I guess I'm lucky.) I have 100% confidence in it :)

Got one from Kodiak Outpost in January. No pics because my camera and photography skills won't do it justice. Smooth operation, points like a laser (especially with the green/orange Novaks), love the weight, and great trigger.

Unfortunately, it's been sitting around for months because these Fudd-haven gun stores in the Okanagan won't order any ammo for me. Heading through Calgary in a couple weeks, hoping TSE might have some. Won't be reloading for at least another year, unfortunately.


Oh and the three spare mags I ordered from Brownells were shipped UPS instead of USPS like I asked for, and so UPS can't deliver the package to my PO box. :rolleyes:


Any recommendations for a holster?

I like the grips on my .45ACP, you must tell if your new extractor was worth it. I would have liked to seen if there would be a difference? The feel of this gun is superb. Congrats on an awesome pistol.

### is not having any ammo.......:p its freaking hard enough getting .45 in Canada let alone 10mm. I would like a Razorback in 10mm.

Man this country sucks for anything fun.
 
nice gun...I wish my 1911 was a 10mm...but nothing is wrong with the good 'ol .45ACP

personally I'm not a huge fan of the bobtail look so I'd rather go for the Razorback 10mm

Pretty much, though some claim the grip digs less into their hands as well.

I want one in .45 and all black...stainless is nice but a bit too bling
 
I also did not liked the bobtail until I saw a CBOB in person (.45 though) I liked the way the gun felt so the bobtail is not bad.

Kodiak Express are good people I just got the big Smiths from him. Excellent service from those guys.
