Daniel Defence Mk18 owners, info please!

Nice gun. Change the pistol grip to Hogue. feels much, much better. I always replace an AR-15 trigger with a Rock River match trigger. best $100 I ever spent.

The DD trigger was the worst trigger of any AR I have tried.. Even if it was good, it would have been replaced anyway. I really like the RR trigger.

I've had mine for about a month and about 1500 rounds. Awesome gun for a great price. It is fast becoming my favorite AR. Decked mine out in Magpul furniture and an XPS2-0 and it rocks. Zero malfunctions so far and nice and balanced. Great platform if you are looking for a shortie!

I'm happy to say I finally made the leap and am a proud owner of a brand new DD mk18. I purchased it from wolverine, which was my first experience with them, great service, definitely will be dealing with them again. I haven't fired the rifle yet, still trying to join a range and get an ATT, but I'm looking forward to the day I can.
Initial impressions are great, fit and finish is excellent but seeing as this is my first AR I have little to compare it to. So far I've only added Magpul BUIS to it but intend on adding a BFG VCAS, an Eotech of some sort, an inforce WML and either a AFG2 or some other VFG.
Side Note: I love how people who have an interest in military style firearms and gear are labeled "mall ninjas"and ridiculed for it. It makes no sense to me why it bothers others how one accessorizes their rifle or their attire. I'm not a chest rig, tacticool attire kinda guy but I don't care either way. If that's how people wanna roll with their gear, more power to them.

Hey guys ill throw my frankengun into the mix since i put a mk18 rail on mine. The quality of that part is without a doubt some of the best available. I got 14.5" DD bbl. installed and am looking to pick up a 10.3 soon enough. Only thing not installed is the matech rear iron sight and front mbuis. Put about 450 rounds through it Friday with not a single issue other than one light primer strike.

Sounds like a nice rifle. I handled the demo model DD MK18 (FDE) that Wolverine Supplies had about a year ago and fell in love. At the time I was building the M4A1. This was before you could buy the complete rifle from DD... I have set mine up pretty similar to what you will by the sounds of things. EOTech XPS (should've got the EXPS in FDE), AFG2, KAC flip up sights, rail covers, flash supressor, padded BFG sling, etc. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

It's not that you're (not you specifically) a "mall-ninja" because you have an interest in military style firearms and kit. In my experience, it is a general term used to describe guys who put too many accessories on their fireams to look cool that have minimal, if any, tactical purpose. Usually "mall-ninjas" will buy cheap parts just to have them on their rifles with little concern about quality. That's my experience in dealing with certain people anyways.

P.S. - Great signature block. haha

The DDMK18 seems like still the best out there in 10.3/11.5/CQB SBR barrel range in the DI series for the Canadian market when price and all is considered.

another happy customer. mods are:

Bravo Company ambi charging Handle and MOD0 compensator
Knight Armament 600m micro and M4 sights
Insight M3X flashlight
Magpul MOE K2, enhenced butt pad and XTM Handstop
Aimpoint H1 in a Tango Down IOcover on American Defence B2-T1 cowitness mount
Blue Force Gear Vickers and Rail Mounted Fixed Loop
Noveske short throw ambi safety

next on the list are B5 SOPMOD, Geissele G2S and that should do it for a little while... not sure I'll leave the BCM comp on tho, concussion is more than I'd like. Noveske KX5 might work better for me.
