Evidently the daniel defense grip screws thread are way too spaced for the spikes tactical lower.

Has anybody else had this problem?

Anywhere I can get the proper screw in Edmonton?

both are new parts.

I suspect maybe wolverine tossed in the wrong bolt for it. I'll head to the local nutsnbolts store and get a new one.

The parts being new and all, newly cut threads and the anodizing to the receiver makes for a difficult fastening. Try working the screw into the receiver without the grip to see how and where it's binding. Of course, don't cross thread it. :)

Grip screws are 1/4" x 28NF.

The only difference I know of is the length of the screw shaft between the early M16 pistol grips and the later enhanced pistol grip with the finger bump.
The enhanced grips have a shallower base and require a shorter screw. M16 pistol grips can accommodate a 1/4" longer screw having a thicker base.
Earlier lower receivers had the grip screw hole drilled right through. A screw being too long would interfere with the trigger.

So what is the root cause? Wrong part added to kit by dealer or wrong part from DD? I was interested in those DD kits.
