You are right. From the high trader ratings these guys have, there are apparently many folks as you describe.
244 now, LOL. Dude’s proly hustling to keep hard to find items in stock all year round and of course charges for that. I’ve been following his listings for a few years now and I’ll say this much that he’s always ahead in the game to bring in items which no one else has, retailers includedNope, this guy has over 12 different firearms for sale, all at ridiculous over-inflated prices.....
He has been doing this for close to four years, has a 5-star trader rating with 243 transactions. So definitely not a guy lying to his wife.
What astonishes me is he has 243 transactions, so the money he is making will be colossal.
I spoke with another scalper who also is here on Gunnutz, he stated he can make over $20,000.00 in one month. He buys the guns from Irunguns (IRG), marks them up $500.00-$1000.00 and advertises on Gun-Post, Gunnutz, and Town-Post.
Now before all the other capitalist pigs start squealing about a free enterprise crap, I will say this idea of screwing other gun owners or potential gun owners is appalling. I understand if someone wants to make a few bucks by selling the new guns they buy, however marking up guns by $500.00 over retail, or $1000.00 over retail is ridiculous.
And yes, I too could do this, but I would not cheat potential firearms owners to the tune of a $1000.00 per gun.
I'm sure the Liberal creeps and mouth-pieces here on Gunnutz might squawk about my comments, however I don't really give a sh!t!.....
Even the Pedersolis he has posted for 5 months now, are only starting to show up at retailers now
I do not support gouging but I also believe in free markets. He’s proly not a big business so I do believe he pays more than retailers to bring stuff in, and that also before everyone else in the country. Also the $2449 prices are pre-tax, so expect another 5% to 13% added when buying from retail
I do respect the hustle and his amazing reviews don’t lie, so honestly people ranting about prices here are just wasting their time. Those who value time over money will of course pay to get what they want in the present. I myself sold a rifle to a grandpa a few months ago who didn’t negotiate with me saying he’s wanted it all his life and now has the money but no guarantee as to how long his health will allow him to enjoy the hobby, so he took it at my asking price
I also looked up your account on GPost and you have a Browning 380 pistol listed for $2000. I think you are just as guilty of gouging LOL, that piece is not worth that much at all. Again, I’m trying to be very fair towards both parties, but just saying, people living in glass houses should not throw stones

I'll address my handgun that I have listed for sale first. That Browning 380 1911 Speed (Shot Show Special), is in mint condition and has only fired 100 rounds. It belongs to my wife. It also comes with ten OEM factory magazines that retail for $100.00 each, if one could find any. This handgun is the only one available for sale in Canada, that I know of. So with the ten magazines, the handgun itself, along with the original case, paperwork, lock etc., is definitely worth the $2000.00 we are asking. The magazines alone are worth $1000.00. In addition, handguns in Canada are very difficult if not impossible to legally bring into Canada. Long-guns are a completely different story.
For the record, we could have sold it several times, been offered our full asking price, however the folks either could not qualify for the exemption status, or just wanted to do a 99 year lease which my wife does not want to do.
The Pedersoli guns that he has listed, have been for sale for several months. Prophet River and other retailers had these same guns for sale at the same time he did. Only they were $1000.00 less expensive. So saying he has inventory before anyone else is false.......
This fellow buys his guns from the USA, IRG's, or Gun-Broker. I have spoken with one of the three scalpers on the phone. They do not buy them from Canadian retailers. Two of the Gun-Post scalpers actually called the third scalper to complain that his asking prices were too low, thus mowing their lawns so to speak. This tells me that greed & profit is their concern.
You say you don't support gouging, yet you support free markets. Well a $1000.00 mark up on a firearm that a scalper is selling is gouging, not a free market. I'm the one that stated his reviews were good, and that he had 243 of them.

I felt attacked by you as you thought my Browning asking price too was gouging. My wife and I feel our price is fair......
I too do not want any keyboard wars, for the first time in 18 years here on Gunnutz, I have blocked a few undesirable Gun-Nutters. Unfortunately we all do not always 100% agree, however, there are some doozies on here now.....

Just a PSA, a dealer brought one by our range for us to test out, and unfortunately, we could not get it to run properly.
We tried running multiple types of factory ammo through it. Had rounds constantly nosediving, or just inexplicitly flat out refuses to go into battery.
Did some research and apparently the Colt Lightning design had well documented reliability issues, and probably why lever actions ended up much more popular.
The original 1884 Lightning was built for heavily tapered, bottleneck black-powder rounds like .44-40, .38-40, and .32-20. Modern .44 Mag is a sharp, straight-walled cylinder. The action has to catch and release the rim with perfect timing and align the cartridge perfectly with the bore. Otherwise it just binds up.
This design evidently didn't work well with semi-wadcutters, jacketed hollow points, or ballistic/elastomer tips that we tried. Maybe certain smooth, round-nose flat points work, but we had major issues with the PPU and few other brands tested. It's also possible that it's very sensitive to cartridge overall length variations causing lifter alignment.
There might be certain ammo that it runs well with, but If you buy one of these, just know going in that you are buying a reloading project. You might need to find the exact OAL and bullet combination it likes. Personally I'd just go for one of the numerous lever action options if I wanted a .44 carbine.
