Day at the range with TriggerTech

I have a Timney in my precision rifle, but I have pre-ordered (and paid for) a Trigger Tech trigger for my AR15. I hope that they do as good a job on that one as all reports on the replacement for the R700 triggers. Based on this review, I think that Trigger Tech has "hit a home run".

Got my trigger today. Just popped it in the rifle. Side-by-side with the Jewel, both set to 2.5 lbs, my initial impressions are amazement. There is a difference in feel between it and the Jewel, but not a significant one. The Jewel feels a tiny bit mushier. The Trigger Tech Trigger feels more like breaking a glass rod to me. However, with the Jewel, you just feel the firing pin drop after it breaks. But, there is a bit of a spring reverberation with the Trigger Tech as the firing pin drops. Not a big deal, but it is something you can feel. Looking forward to actually firing these side-by-side. They are in identical rifles. Surgeon 591s in A5s, both chambered in 6mm Crusader.

Well i will shurly be getting one or two for my ar's down the road and maybe one for my savage if they ever make one.

It seems that the reverberation is due to the TT trigger having no movement at all after it breaks. When the Jewel is not cocked, it has some travel. Not the TT. It only move as much as it need to move to fire and to reset and has no play whatsoever in the cocked and uncocked positions. I need to make a 6 Crusader snapcap and see how it feels with the firing pin hitting something. Should damped it. Unfortunately, I don't have any fired cases or spent primers sitting around.
